Probiotics while on antibx's?

Just wondering if this makes sense, to take Probiotics while on antibx's, your

trying to kill

a bacteria, and then putting them back in your system with the Probiotics.

I am confused, if it makes more sense to wait until the course of antibx's is

done, to do the Probiotics? Of course when the Antibx's treatment course is so

long, can you even wait without more gut issues.

What are most of you doing while on antibx's?

Taking probiotics while taking antibiotics can often prevent gut issues from developing in the first place, instead of waiting for antibiotics to wreak their havoc on the gut normal flora and then trying to rebuild it after the antibiotics are stopped. I recommend that people take probiotics all the time, and increase the dose when they are taking antibiotics. Sometimes the dose of probiotics needs to be increased by a factor of 10 while taking antibiotics, other times, just doubling or tripling the dose will suffice to keep gut issues at bay. Thats what I figured, but I had a regular MD, challenge my thinking today.

I just need to stick to what I know, and have observed.
