I have been quite depressed for about a month now. September is a month of anniversaries of some horribly painful events in my past, and each year depression seems to take hold in this month. ACT has helped me to accept this since I, apparently, can't change it. And move on with my hands and feet. I've also been sitting on my hands quite a bit.

I have noticed some snarkiness and nit-pickyness in some of my recent posts here. That's how I seem to get some relief from my depression. That is not in service of others or myself in any way. I now realize I need to take a step back from the list for awhile. I'm sorry if some of my remarks have hurt anyone.

I'll keep reading, of course!

Good luck with your tough month. There are some times of year that call

memories to mind for me, too. Or sometimes even very simple things that

you wouldn't think would have any effect will call up the memory of a loss.

That's being verbal for you!

I would like to add that although my experience too has been that posting

can often be difficult (hard to know what to say; sometimes we say what

we later realize was not helpful), some of your recent posts have really

moved me with their wisdom & kindness. E.g. your posts about relationships

with therapists - very thoughtful.

Just to let you know, I enjoy your posts and haven't noticed a problem with

them. But at the same time I understand if you want to take a break from

posting, just know you are admired and cared for by those in this group!!!!
