Yes. We always see an increase in symptoms first, but usually for only a few

days and then everything improves. I think the symptoms are from the

antibodies, not the infection, so they first increase and then they go down with

the infection die off. My son does not have seizures, but tics increase.

We think my son's tics and OCD are from bartonella.

decrease?

We got an increase in OCD and tics nearly every time we treated them.

The seizures seem to have left upon ridding wheat mostly, but also with

digestive aids. We never got an increase in seizures, but I expect

everyone is different, and we just had the mild seizures. One thing

that worked without causing an increase in OCD/tics was Mindlinx

probiotic by Pharmax. We do usually get a temporary increase in most

symptoms whenever we use strong anti-microbials or detoxers, except when

killing worms, then we just get colds. Decreasing doses and adding in

things for die-off works for us. Keep in mind that occasionally, there

is a true issue with allergies or something that makes one unable to

tolerate a specific treatment. This happened very rarely for us, but it

does happen.

Love and prayers,

I have a question for those of you that have dealt with tics and/or

seizures related to PANDAS. When you treat with antibiotics or herbals,

do you see an increase in tics/seizures before you see a decrease? Or do

you simply see a decrease?

I ask because when I'm still dealing with seizures in my son - whenever

we try a new treatment, it seems to increase seizures, but then (I

THINK) they then decrease.

Thanks,

Bethany

Thanks for sharing that, that is incredibly helpful. I have also felt that my

son's increase in seizures could be due to antibodies, probably autoimmune ones.

Thanks, that is really helpful. I have been watching my son really carefully,

removing things and slowly adding them back in to see what his seizures do.

With no-fenol, they increased (seizures and tics) and then decreased, so we are

able to use it now. The same thing seems to be happening with OoO, but that

might be more of an allergy.

Caryn,

do you notice your son's bartonella symptoms getting worse with the moons... my

son was doing really with these last 3-4 weeks, no rages, OCD/tics down,

fears/phobias better (he has been sick with a virus though for three weeks),

then this new moon day of and two-3 days after every symptom went crazy

again....we always talk that it is parasites of some sort but wondering if

bartonella or even strep cycle with the moon too?

I will have to watch for this. We just started a new bartonella protocol so it

is very hard to judge any cycles.
