Have you looked into PANDAS? Strep can cause kids to go bazerk! You should review the symptoms at www.pandasnetwork.org You may want to try high dose azithromycin.

You HAVE a reason to be desperate. Sorry l cant help you more, just want to say l will raise my prayer for your family right now and to remind you to wean your child out of this medication slowly, if you give it for several days, dont forget to wean him off of it. Removing it at once can create other problems you dont have. None of us wants to have a child on this kind of medication, but if there is nothing else to do, l just pray it is for the best and that it is temporary. My heart goes out to you. May l ask what do you think has been the culprit to the situation? Anything specific that might have unleashed this behavior? Perhaps some brainstorming could shed some light. From mom to mom, l send you Angels and the Peace that surpases all understanding.Isa Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de TelcelFrom: franselw@...Sender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Mon, 2 May 2011 18:30:59 +0000To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism<BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >; TACA USA<taca-usa >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Valium My son is extremely violent today - DAN doc is putting him temporarily on valium 5mg up to 2x daily rather than giving anti psychotic meds until we are able to treat lyme with antibiotics. Dear Isa - thank you for your words of comfort. I am hoping valium will be temporary. Lyme has led to this situation. I think maybe the kind of probiotics I am giving? Custom Probiotics D lactate - lactobacilli with bifido - baby scoop- may not be agreeable? He is not yet on ABX as we are still addressing gut issues and finishing up Diflucan. I have nothing for mopping up yeast die off as charcoal caused behaviors too. I could not find apple pectin binder in powder form. Capsule I found contains stearic acid so no good. Don't know what else to use for die-offs if that is the issue. Thank you for any advice out there. The problem with valium, as with all downers, is that your body revs up to

compensate for the sedative effects. This means that when you stop taking the

downer, you are now more up than before you took it. Downers are potentially

lethal if they are taken in very large quantities because of the revving up the

body does. To temporary take a downer is done in times of crisis, but it was

originally used for situational crises, in that when the crisis is over, the

patient no longer needs it. Since our children have chronic conditions where

the crisis is long-term, downers are not normally used because they are very

addicting, meaning the body physically changes. What I have seen is that after

stopping the valium, they are temporarily revved up, but the effects wear off

eventually.

I do understand the horrendous stress that comes with aggression. For some,

diet changes make a difference, but for others, it seems that nothing works. At

my house, removing wheat, eating organic, and giving digestive aides worked for

one, Bach remedies worked for another, and I actually have one that needs many

things and still the aggression lingers, but is under control enough to stay in

regular school. Some of the things to look into are mopping up extra ammonia,

toxins, and oxalates, looking at thyroid issues (iodine supplementation), and

anti-inflammatories, such as antioxidants. See what your practitioner says fits

with your child's protocol.

Love and prayers,

Heidi N

I forgot about the Rescue Remedy. My son got some relief with using

it as needed.I went by the instructions on the bottle. I used the

childrens Rescue Remedy only. Modifilan made my son worse.I only

tried it one day for him. I used it also.I thought it was great

until(about 2 weeks into it) I started getting toxins pulling from

my tissues(I think that is what was happening),by using it.I think

it was pulling too quickly so I got scared of it.My babesia flared

like mad.     Tammy F.

At my house, Bach flower remedies seemed to work the best by spraying or rubbing

the drops on the back of the neck. It didn't seem to matter when to apply, but

applying more often gave better results. I think you can apply it 10 times a

day, but we just did it a couple of times a day. At first, we did get an

increase of symptoms the first day or two, but later, even after stopping it,

reinstating it worked quickly and without the increase in symptoms. Putting the

drops in the mouth worked quickly, but the results didn't last. Putting the

drops on the skin took longer, but seemed to get stronger, longer lasting

results. Upon researching Bach remedies, I found that others reported the same

results. But, I did not see reports of anyone putting them on the back of the

neck. That I decided to do since I believe that area to be a root cause of

symptoms for all with immune system problems, and it did work noticeably better.

It also seemed to work better if I used them daily instead of just when needed.

Love and prayers,

Heidi N

My son seems to have the same reaction to all meds and naturals. He

gets spaztic, mean and out of control. It is just a matter of these

symptoms being at a 1 - 10 scale.Valium was about a 7 for my son.

But if you try it and it actually helps calm him I would absolutely

think that is better than an antiscicotic. I hear of many Lyme

patints using valium. There are other positive properties to it.I

just don't remember what. Does any one else know?

It was the new moon, not the full moon. Hyperness, inability to sleep, rage,

crazy with the full moon is usually related to parasites. I would try with

artemisiae and cloves.

Hi Fransel,I am not sure if others already mentioned this: chlorella tablets 30 minutes before meal + butyrate after meal can be a good combo for mopping, binding biotoxins. Increasing fiber intake can help too. I use Whole Fiber Fusion made by Vital Nutrients. The product is fairly clean and is independently tested for heavy metals, solvent residue, herbicide and pesticide residue, bacteria, yeast and mold counts, etc.LiminDear Isa - thank you for your words of comfort. What kind of butyrate do you like to use? What dose?

Also, do the chlorella and butyrate work together in some way?

Bethany,

I use Bodybio brand of butyrate. Butyrate is a short chain fatty acid and a

detoxifier of ammonia and neurotoxins. It breaks down lipid toxins which

interfere with cell metabolism. Bodybio has several different " flavors " to

choose from. I use Cal-Mag Butyrate.

http://www.bodybio.com/storecategory97.aspx

The link below lists dosage information recommended by Kane, PhD.

http://howto.whnlive.com/PCDetox/

Chlorella is not able to break down lipid toxins, but can absorb, mop up the

toxins in the gut. Some NDs use chlorella + butyrate to replace chloestyramine,

for which binding biotoxins especially mold toxins is its well known off-label

use.

hope this helps.

wean your child out of this medication slowly, if you give it for several days,

dont forget to wean him off of it. Removing it at once can create other problems

you dont have. None of us wants to have a child on this kind of medication, but

if there is nothing else to do, l just pray it is for the best and that it is

temporary. My heart goes out to you. May l ask what do you think has been the

culprit to the situation? Anything specific that might have unleashed this

behavior? Perhaps some brainstorming could shed some light.
