Guest guest
http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/antidepressants-and-effect-size/#more-14161 I am providing a link to this article because it is a topic in which many of us are interested and which has been in the news a lot recently. This article was written by someone I know fairly well from another list, Dr. Harriet Hall, and I have come to respect her credentials when it comes to evaluating scientific studies, which can be confusing and misleading to the layperson (not to mention the experts). That said, I am not saying that I always agree with her opinions. It is my intent to share information on this topic for your consideration - not to convince you of anything and not to stimulate a discussion about it on this forum. In the past, we have seen that such discussions bring up all kinds of opinions and disagreements that are better not dealt with here. Thanks, Helena

Can't control what will or won't be said here, (wouldn't want to) but suggestions like this IMO are helpful as broad guidelines, given how easy it is for threads to unravel and morph into off-topic debates. Thanks for the link and for your opinion of this author. Definitely a lot of confusion when it comes to digesting this sort of thing, so much appreciated. You sound like you've really done your homework in this area, Helena. regards, T > http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/antidepressants-and-effect-size/#m\ ore-14161 > > I am providing a link to this article because it is a topic in which many of us are interested and which has been in the news a lot recently.
