Guest guest
I know ACT is not designed with religion in mind, but I am wondering if the ACT principles can be used to help me with prayer? I have trouble with focus and concentration - thought maybe if I could accept my stray thoughts that would allow me to focus on my prayer instead. Guest guest
Hi EstherI've only practical tips to offer, such as just noting down before you pray what it is that you would like to pray for. Another tip might be to see if there is someone else whom you could talk over your prayer with, and see if he / she would be kind enough to sit with you in praying together for those things. That said, I find that some of my most unstructured, rambling and unfocused prayers are those that actually make me feel closest to God. (And some of the best posts on this forum are equally rambling and unstructured!)Best wishes xSubject: PrayerTo: "ACT_for_the_Public " <act_for_the_public >Date: Monday, 1 August, 2011, 2:55I know ACT is not designed with religion in mind, but I am wonderingif the ACT principles can be used to help me with prayer?
