Have a look at Open Focus Brain by Les Fehmi. http://www.openfocus.com/BillTo: ACT_for_the_Public From: asdfasdf87@...Date: Wed, 17 Aug 2011 18:54:17 -0700Subject: How to quickly activate right brain?

This may sound like an oversimplification, but for someone in a left brained line of work, like programming, and with computer addiction and probably ocd, it's very easy to get left brain all fired up, and that state is I think characterized by disharmony, feeling of your energy field all torn down, hyperactivity, pieces of shallow thoughts chaotically tumbling in the brain, missing the nature but unable to see or absorb it. How to quickly snap oneself out of this state? Normally, takes days to air my brain, need a faster solution.

This is a pretty "ethnic" experience, so if you're interested read on, otherwise please skip.I met a very good TCM doctor who made an indirect suggestion, "You know, most people are not able to stand with one leg with their eyes closed. But then if you train in qigong, you can accomplish that". He didn't teach me that qigong that he mentioned. So, as soon as I got home, I tried standing with one leg. Hands down, not like in Karate Kids, mind you. With eyes open, it was very easy. But as soon as I closed my eyes my body parts felt like they were revolting against each other.I was reminded of an old text "Secret of Golden Flower" that suggested people to meditate with eyes half closed looking at the nose tip because that's one easy way to get the "animus and anima to be in balance". According to this text, either animus or anima is dominant when the eyes are open or closed. I don't have a solution yet as of the moment, but I just picked up a favorite exercise: Standing with one leg, get in comfortable position with my eyes open, then enjoy observing my body gradually losing balance. Interestingly, each time I train, I seem to be able to stand couple seconds longer than before, and when I concluded the exercise, the mind felt refreshed and, perhaps, balanced. I ended up with sore legs, but hey, that's a good willingness exercise as well :)MerlinSender: ACT_for_the_Public Date: Wed, 17 Aug 2011 18:54:17 -0700To: ACT_for_the_Public <ACT_for_the_Public >ReplyTo: ACT_for_the_Public Subject: How to quickly activate right brain?
