Guest guest
Valtrex isn't the ticket with xmrv. we also know that these viruses can be dormant (thus the healthy population may not test pos) and that similar percentages of autistic kids test positive for lyme & co. it is very possible that it is just another co-infection with lyme. the verdict is still out on this xmrv. when i was at ILADS in October (and half rushed off to an XMRV conference immediately following ILADS) there was a very strong AIDS like protocal being tested--but no fabulous results. i chatted with one of our most infamous and beloved docs and asked him what to do about a few things...his verdict was wait and see on the strong antivirals--our kids crash easy and are way toxic...he thought artemesia was a more appropriate route until more research is in and he's involved in the research. having 3 of us test + for xmrv....i have watched my EBV IgM titers come--one of our docs used EBV as a general viral measure...mine EBV titers been off the charts and didn't budge on antivirals, but EBV IgM titers came down significantly playing with OLE, transfer factor, propolis, extended use of artiminisin etc. the chiropractor gets the credit for this one. viral is huge...but don't forget, most docs are starting to treat the big guys first (worms, parasites, bacteria...then viral) as it appears that even these uninvited guests habor more uninvited guests--which are often food for the big guys. and we can't forget about scuz (mold) as if bacteria can co-exist with molds, viruses most likely will as well and perhaps that part of the ongoing exposure and reason why some folks have so much trouble getting well especially those of us with HLA genotypes which complicate matters more. chelating is supposed to help on the viral front and as well as broad spectrum products like lauricin, propolis, ldm-100 the list goes on. we have it all and sometimes we find that we gotta clean up one thing to move on to the next...but most importantly with our kids, we don't want to hit to hard so that we send send the colorado river of die off down a brita filter--that is the absolute worst. lisa
