Guest guest
Yes. Certain enzymes can thin the blood by destroying 'fibrin', which is where the Lyme hides to evade getting killed (Lyme actually somehow triggers fibrin creation). Lowering excessive levels of fibrin, in turn, helps with nutrient delivery and oxygen delivery, which is good for obvious reasons. Another bonus with enzymes is that some of them are anti-parasitic, which is good on its own, but also because some parasites are symbiotic with Lyme e.g. Nematodes 'hide Lyme'. I cant remember which enzymes kill which parasites. Rx blood thinners can thin the blood as well (i believe they lower fibrin, but via different mechanisms). However, i was on an Rx blood thinner (coumadin), but decided to get off it, because it destroys vitamin K, which can cause all sorts of nutritional problems. I'm going the natural route, in which the enzymatic blood thinners are actually good for you. Guest guest
Hi Misty, I got your offline questions about biofilm treatment. Since this thread is currently in discussion, I think I will just chime in here. The treatment are usually involved some combination of tools such as the following: 1. A combo of fibrinolytic and mucolytic enzymes: Nattokinase, Lumbrokinase, Serrapeptase, or Mucolase. 2. Use Lactoferrin to bind up iron. 3. Use vitamin K2 to bind up calcium. 4. If magnesium supplement is used, take it hours away from biofilm protocol. Some doctors recommend to stop supplementing iron, calcium and magnesium when on biofilm protocol. 5. Use disodium EDTA to chelate metals in order to punch holes in the biofilm. 6. Chitosan is said to inhibit the formation of biofilm. We had some gains using Chitosan in the past. http://www.springerlink.com/content/d1jj063364625865/ 7. Treat Strep and/or Staph, if these two infections are present. Strep and Staph are particularly capable of producing slime for which other infections can hide within. (The natural alternative (a milder approach) is to use raw, unfiltered apply cider vinegar to replace EDTA, and manuka honey to replace biofilm enzymes. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Limin - Great writeup. I dont understand why docs would want someone to be off those minerals while on the biofilm protocol, which could last for a long time. All those minerals are crucial, and for many, Magnesium is mission critical in Lyme treatment. Also, someone on EDTA would want *more* of certain minerals, since chelation can deplete certain minerals. I've also never heard of metal chelation punching holes in the biofilm. All great stuff, and more to add to the treatment. Where did you find out the stuff in your post? Or is this all from your experience and memory? Thank you very much! Guest guest
Bill,The matrix of biofilm in the body is not entirely produced by the bacteria themselves. It is formed via an interaction between the bacteria and the host body. The host body product such as fibrins and nutrients such as iron, calcium, and magnesium are imbedded as components of the matrix. Disodium EDTA is recommended to chelate these minerals from bilfilm in order to dismantle it. Vitamin K2 binds up calcium to make it more available to the host body, and less available to the bugs. In a similar fashion, lactoferrin binds up iron to make it more available for the host body to uptake, and less for the bugs. Doctors sometimes recommend staying away from magnesium for a month or two for the initial biofilm protocol, and then pulse the biofilm treatments for replenishing minerals. Most of the anti-fibrin enzymes are also anti-platelets. Platelet levels are usually low in the individuals with Lyme. Taking breaks from the protocol might be necessary.LiminLimin -Great writeup.
