Isa,I tried 2 packs of Speak last year and didn't see much. I felt that I didn't try long enough to see a difference in my son. Basically high dose vitamin E works as antioxidant and anti-inflammation. Good fats are always a must for our kids. Bob Marshall PhD advises to take vitamin E away from other lipid supplements. I plan to use Premier Research Labs' E Complete in the morning, and Green Pasture high vitamin butter oil at lunch, and fermented cod liver oil at dinner. So my son can have some fats for each meal, yet takes one kind of fats away from another.E Complete:http://www.purelifenutrition.com/E-Complete-Premier-Research-Labs-557-g-Liquid_p_104.htmlKeep us posted, if you decide to try Speak. Perhaps we can exchange notes later.LiminOn Apr 10, 2011, at 04:55 PM, Aleida Isabel Guzman wrote:dear alll found some info on this supplement : it sounds reasonable and worth a try. go towww.SpeechNutrients.com and let me know what you guys think about it.isa

Isa,

E Complete is extracted from palm oil; the product does not contain soy.Green Pasture high vitamin butter oil is casein and lactose free.Liminthis would be a soy issue or casein issue if that is an issue From: Limin TsengSent: Sunday, April 10, 2011 10:12 PMTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: speak! supplement -- this might be something for some of usIsa,I tried 2 packs of Speak last year and didn't see much. ISa,

I did try this product on one of my boys and he didn't tolerate it, he became

very agitated.

He did better on Cod liver oil, raw organic butter and Purely E by North America

herbs and spices. I think the raw organic cultured butter I make now and again

is doing him a lot of good.

,

My son has been on Speak for about 8 months now. This was the first and only

supplement he was on as we got our diagnosis and began our biomed. He was on it

for approximately 5 months before adding any other supps. He is 3 years old, has

ASD and is non-verbal.

Initially we noticed more babbling and sounds from him and increased mental

activity. It made him a little more hyper for about a week or so, but he

adjusted to it and that wore off. We worked up to the four capsule per the

directions, but did not notice any more improvements at four capsules than we

did at 2 capsules so that is where we are today. He gets two capsules every

morning with breakfast.

I stick with this product for a few reasons. Number one, because my son is very

orally sensitive and this happens to be one he will accept. It has a light

orange scent that doesn't bother him at all. Also, I like that it has a

significant amount of E and I don't have to bother with yet another

supplement....sort of a two for one deal. Finally, I researched this product

and found it to be a certified clean fish oil free of mercury and such.

After eight months of using speak, my non-verbal child is finally starting to

label objects and remember words. He can now use two words together when

prompted. I can't say this is entirely due to speak because we have many other

suppliments and therapies on board, but I do believe it helped and I will

continue to use it.

Hope this helps!
