Guest guest
I went to Rally's last night for a soda. I think in other parts of the country Rally's is called Checkers. Rally's has 2 drive through lanes and a walk up window. I was at the order window when I looked over to one of the drive through lanes. I noticed the headlights but then I saw movement. I saw 2 medium sized cats (older kittens actually) in front of the car. They were both literally sitting directly in front of the tire of the car that was at the Drive through window. I shoo'd the cat away and told the car's driver that she had nearly squashed 2 cats. She looked over where I was pointing and saw the cats sitting on a wall. The cats were kind of cool looking, they are mostly white with grey highlights, especially around the eyes. They have a sort of ghostly appearance. I have actually seen the cats since they were tiny babies. My cat is a self-rescue I made from under my apt building a little over a year ago so they are probably related. He was probably under a month old when I found him separated from his mother and siblings. As I went back to the line to finish my order (and get my wallet and credit card) I looked down at the tire where the cats had been and saw some fuzz coming out from the tire. I looked closely and saw something small, fuzzy, and brown inside the tire (where the brakes are). I pointed to the driver that there was something there and she turned off her car. She had 2 kids in the back seat and they got out. I reached in and felt something small, fuzzy, warm, and a heart beat. I had to work it a bit and sort of 2 hand the thing but I pulled out a little hamster. The woman at the drive through counter screamed and ran away and the 2 kids both got all excited. The lady who was driving the car made a call home and decided she would take the hamster. I myself couldn't take the hamster because I have a cat of my own who is 100% hunter and goes insane at the sight of a fly outside the screen door. Rally's gave me a paper bag and I put the hamster in it and gave it over to the kids. Yesterday I saved 2 cats, a hamster, and I survived a very uncomfortable day and ended up with something positive to post. I also got to go home and tease my cat with the knowledge that I had a hamster that day and he didn't! Take that Mickey!

Funny how life dishes out nice surprises from time to time that make us feel so good ...Helena Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2011 6:31:29 PMSubject: A Nice Story from Last Night I went to Rally's last night for a soda.
