Guest guest
Just wanted to let everyone know about our most recent experiences with this. After lots of trial and error, we figured out that the no fenol enzyme actually helps prevent seizures! My son is on the seizure med zonisamide, which metabolizes into a phenol. So we give 1/16th of a capsule of no fenol with the zonisamide before bed, and we don't have a grand mal seizure the next morning. If give the seizure med without the no fenol, he will have one grand mal seizure. (The seizure med given all by itself prevents him from having one seizure after another). However, the seizure med causes him to have one or two " jerks " or " tics " during the day, and more falling asleep. He never had these before. The problem is, we started the no fenol and the seizure med at almost the same time, so there is a possibility that the no fenol could prevent seizures all by itself. So now we in the process of investigating that possibility. Come to think of it, I think we started all our other enzymes at the same time also (zyme prime and peptizyde). Thanks to Heidi for your comments about digestive enzymes impacting seizures...that's been a big help along this path. Bethany
