Hello Dina I am looking at Babuna (chamomile) by Nutramedix. Do you give this at bedtime or also as mood support in the day? I will try valerian again just 1 drop. Maybe giving 14 drops 2x a day was too much.FranselSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Mon, 09 May 2011 18:20:19 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Aggression - Valerian and 5HYP I think you should consider trying Nutramedix tinctures, like Amantilla (valerian) and Babuna. Anyway, I'd recommend to start with only 1 drop of tincture, even if instructions say 24 drops, considering how sensitive our kids very often are. For sensitive kids starting with too big a dose can create too strong sensations, which in turn will lead to behavior problems. Even if the new supplement is good for them and doing it's job.By the way, members of this group have 50% discount on Nutramedix stuff, if you call to order ;) And there are videos on youtube about the products, with Dr. Lee Cowden himself speaking.Take care,DIna.> >> > > > Kim> > I know some people will hate me for saying this but you may have to consider a stronger med until you can get to the bottom of her immune problems as a stopgap measure so you can reduce the suffering of your family and child who are in crisis. Trust me I have been there with what you are describing. It will take time to restore her immune and behavioral health and you need to buy some time.> > Best wishes> > Sara>

Fransel,My son now does not have a problem falling into sleep. When he did in the past, we rotated Amantilla and Babuna at 10 drops every other night at bedtime. This worked well for him. We mainly used these tinctures for sleep aids and not for mood support. Hope others can chime in.LiminHello Dina I am looking at Babuna (chamomile) by Nutramedix. I find that 5,000 iu of vitamin D3 given once daily with dinner helps make him

tired at night. We also use melatonin.

When he really stops falling asleep at night that is from a PANDAS flare.

We give him D3 10000 - 20000 iu and 2.5 mg slow release melatonin and is still able to sleep at night. My challenge is his aggression in the daytime because he is quick to anger and overly sensitive to touch and sound. He cannot ever be corrected.FranselSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Tue, 10 May 2011 18:17:14 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Valerian and Babuna I find that 5,000 iu of vitamin D3 given once daily with dinner helps make him tired at night. Until PANDAS hit my son was doing very well on Bethanachol. It works on the fight or flight response and calmed him alot.

Wow, I didn't know high dose vitamin D could make a child tired. We give her

roughly 1000 iu of D3 in the morning. We also use melatonin at night - 9 mg.

How much do you use for your son?

Thanks,

Kim

Sensitive to touch and sound was parasites for my son. Sound sensitivity was

resolved within 2 days of taking mepron for Babesia. He stayed on it for almost

2 years.

Sorry for not answering right away. I personally take 3 drops of Amantilla

before bedtime, my son takes only 1 at a time. We noticed that 2 drops given at

the same time produce three opposite effect, he gets agitated instead out

calming down. But he is ok with more than 1 drop given separately, throughout

the day. We do it very rarely though, only when he is super tired or had too

many things happen, like birthday party or big tantrum because of die-off

reaction to some treatment. We dont like Babuna much, it seemsto be too strong

for us.

Another thing I noticed, if I take Amantilla too close to bedtime, I find it

hard to wake up, if I cannot afford to sleep in. but have very sweet dreams

that morning too :)

Hope it helps, Dina.
