Sara If you don't mind my asking how is your son doing on Abilify and how old is he? How long have you been using and are you treating lyme with herbs or antibiotics or both? Our lyme doc forsees that it will be a difficult road when we start ABX so she suggested taking valium for now. That did not sound right to me. I am open however to other meds after I read up on the side effects. I would like to pick the direction others in this group have taken with good results. And I am not going to be judgmental as we are all well meaning and responsible parents. If it is too sensitive a topic I can be reached at franselw@.... Grateful to all.FranselSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Tue, 10 May 2011 01:23:19 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Aggression - Valerian and 5HTP and Behavior Meds FranselRisperdal did NOT work for our daughter. But Abilify did. Again, let me say that it is a stopgap, not a cure. I personally HATE antipsychotics. If you are in a crisis it calls for crisis measures. You can still keep on working on underlying medical issues while you buy some time, then slowly, very slowly wean off the stuff and see if it will stick.btw, the school removing your son from the classroom by calling you does not sound like a behavior plan on their part.Blessings,Sara> >> > > > Kim> > I know some people will hate me for saying this but you may have to consider a stronger med until you can get to the bottom of her immune problems as a stopgap measure so you can reduce the suffering of your family and child who are in crisis. Trust me I have been there with what you are describing. It will take time to restore her immune and behavioral health and you need to buy some time.> > Best wishes> > Sara>
