Guest guest
Ok I am noting this protocol. Thanks KrassiFranselSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Mon, 09 May 2011 20:42:13 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Custom Probiotics Fransel,We have been using this Custom probiotics D. Lactate free formulation for over an year and we like it. I give it to my son first thing in the morning when he wakes up and right before he goes to bed. We altermnate with HLC MindLinx and BioImmersian's Cranberry Pomegranate Synbiotic Formula, which was highly recommended by Dr. K's assistant. Initially she recommended the Supernatant, but I was worried about the Streptococcus strain, so as per recommendation of one of the moms from this group I replaced it with the Cranberry Pomegranate Synbiotic Formula and so far so good. Currently my son is on the PANDAS antibiotic protocol (Azithromycin once per week), so I am little worried if he gets enough good probiotics, but so far so good (knocking on wood).Hope this helps,Krassi>> Is anyone using their D Lactate formula? Company is avoiding L Acidophilus due to lactose forming so they are using a blend of lactobacilus and bifido. We are using child dosage right now but maybe not enough support. Guest guest
Krassi Did your son have aggressive behaviors? Was yeast the culprit or strep or lyme co? I am going to look at coconut kefir. I hope it is not hard to do like the yogurt. Thanks.FranselSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Tue, 10 May 2011 01:45:04 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Custom Probiotics Fransel,My son is almost 6 years old and weights 36 pounds (he is very very slim as you can tell, despite all my attempts to feed him healthy and giving him good fats whenever possible). I give him 3 small scoops of the Custom Probiotics in the morning and the same amount before going to bed. To find out what is the correct dosage for your son simply build up slowly - start from 1 small scoop only and every few days increase a little until you notice regular and well formed BM and the yeasty behaviour completely gone - at least in our case this is how I found what would be the correct dosage. I forgot to mention that I give also to my son fermented coconut kefir (I make it with the BED starter) and this was big part of helping putting his yeast problem under control,so I highly recommend it. Guest guest
I was reading the ingredients of the coconut kefir from Whole Foods and saw that streptococcus thermophilus was added. Aren't we avoiding the strep strains in case PANDAS was an issue? I believe I read here that coconut was an issue although I don't see why? My doc wants us to stay away from fermented foods maybe because my son's gut has to heal first? Sorry too many questions.
