This is one of the reasons hospitals and govt. bureaucracies are to be avoided when an experiencer has Lyme: state involuntary euthanasia.See how this happened at the bottom of the email. Who is for the right to life without a torturous prolonged death?

A memorial fund has been set up for the memory of Lyme patient, Albert .

Man is born free, and everywhere, he is in chains

by Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778)

Albert was an 85-year-old Scandia, Minnesota Lyme disease patient, who was slowly put to death by Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Albert’s wife, Lana , age 56, had appealed to me to help save Albert’s life. Albert was in need of dialysis. He had been removed from dialysis, and had not been given the antibiotic treatment for Ld, while at Methodist Hospital. He was given only one glass of water a day, and no food. Would we do this to an animal?...In our society?

Albert had a positive Lyme diagnosis. He had a bullseye rash-100% definitive by CDC standards, for a Lyme diagnosis. I had contacted most hospitals in Minnesota to transfer Albert out of the grip of Methodist Hospital. Hospitals and doctors backed out of handling this case. I involved Governor Dayton to save Albert . This case had to do with ageism and Lyme disease. If we did not speak out for Albert , we are all potentially capable of following his fate.

Dr. Murakami, a retired ILADS Physician sent the court the following---reprinted with permission of the family:“Please be advised that Albert has had a tick bite with a typical target rash, which is diagnostic of Borrelia burgdorferi, and has developed subsequent Neuroborreliosis and associated dementia. This patient exhibits clinical signs of Babesiosis which is often a reason for a lack of response from Lyme disease medication treatment, both IV and orally. This patient should have treatment for Babesiosis and I recommend Mepron 750mg bid by mouth and the Zithromax 250 mg bid by mouth, both for a minimum of six weeks. Liver function tests should be conducted regularly when administering any long-term antibiotics. If there is clinical and physical

improvement of the Babesiosis symptoms in the first few weeks, it is an indication to continue for a longer period of time. Subsequent to this treatment he should have intravenous Ceftriaxone 2000 mg daily for three months. The reason for the long treatment is because of the cystic forms of Lyme disease, at his resilience to treatment, which can cause a recurring infection that in any one patient. In this case, three weeks of treatment was inadequate in duration and also he was not treated for the Babesiosis which would interfere with any medications for Lyme disease and it’s cystic form. He had a very good response clinically from six weeks of the antibiotic, which confirms the diagnosis of Lyme disease. I strongly believe that this patient deserves the benefit of Mepron and Zithromax. Please be advised that if there are neurological

problems, he should certainly have the renal dialysis performed. Please refer to Dr. Pat McGeer’s study of 3 Alzheimer’s patients revealing postmortem studies of viable cystic forms in the brain, see Journal of Neuroinflammation, Sept 2008. Albert died February 14, 2011. Albert had Lyme disease and had been paralyzed for a year, on a ventilator, dialysis, and tube feedings. He was in a hospital in the Minneapolis area. The hospital took him off dialysis recently and requested a court order to take him off all life support. Albert was withdrawn from life support on Feb. 14 by court order, against his wife's wishes.

When Albert contracted Lyme disease, he had a bull's-eye rash and a positive test. He was treated with one month of antibiotics. Eventually he became paralyzed and unable to talk. His wife never lost hope, and even recently tried in vain to get doctors to put him back on antibiotics. Judith Weeg of Iowa, President of the Lyme Disease United Coalition, started a letter-writing campaign recently to try to save his life. People were asked to send letters to Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton, President Obama, and Sen. Al en.
