What does he do that makes you think this? Does he get occupational therapy? An OT can assess the sensory systems, although the olfactory sense is not an easy one to evaluate. Does he act like all food tastes the same? My sister-in-law lost her sense of smell after a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. She eventually recovered her sense of smell, but it was years later. I imagine this sense could be dampened or lost when there is infection or trauma to that area of the brain.na>> Hi All,> It has suddently dawned on me that my 31/2 yrear old son might not be smelling things.>

My son could not smell - we worked with a neurological chiropractor similar to Brain Balance (see the book Disconnected Kids by Melillo). There were certain smells that he had to try to smell in only one nostril. It took a few months to turn on his ability to smell. The book tells you how to assess and treat this - don't know if it works in isolation or you need to do the whole program to get smells to work. I have not seem him react to the sense of smell. ,If your child was recovered once, he and you are one in the means of getting him back on track, l hope he recovers fully again soon. Was chelation a wow! For you guys? Did you see him recovering a lot after implementing it? When you talk about transdermal chelators, do you mean ALA? Did u use the AC protocol?Sorry so many questions, l have been a chicken on implementing oral chelation after the problems we had w IV chelation :-(Blessings!IsaEnviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de TelcelSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Fri, 06 May 2011 17:39:13 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: My son can't smell I think Hi ,Thanks for that information. That is an interesting connection. My daughter has neuropathy on her right side and it seems to be worse on some days than others. She curls her toes a lot and even stands with her toes curled under on the right side. I stopped vaccinating her after 6 months, but I'm guessing she could have gotten heavy metals from me in utero and from the initial shots. At 6 months old she only wanted to eat really sour foods like sauerkraut juice. I think she has dulled senses in her taste/smell as well.I also have a son who is 29 months w/ lyme and ASD. At what age can you do the FIR sauna safely? Also, is there a particular kind that you like? How often is it recommended to do?Can you also tell me about the transdermal chelators? Thanks so much! And sorry to hear about the mercury exposure. Did you figure this out on your own or did the school tell you about the exposure? Were other children effected, too?na> > > >> > > > Hi All,> > > > It has suddently dawned on me that my 31/2 yrear old son might not > > > be smelling things.> > > >> > > > Is there a way to figure it out? Dear SasmitaWe were doing Chelation the "DAN style" w a full IV protocol of Ca EDTA, vit C, phoscholine and glutathion. We did 7 sessions, our procedure was to check liver function, kidneys and blood every 4 sessions. First 4 sessions went well, by session 7, we had to test since he wasnt doing well at all (nauseous, vomiting frequently, waking up at night, hyperactive, winny). Well, liver enzymes were all off the roof, we stopped chelation and worked on rebalancing his liver. We spent over a year trying to bring his liver back in track, long story short, his liver was a wreck for over a year and a half. Still, l bare hope that the AC method could work for my child, is it comes to clearing him from metals. My good friend is recommending Bio-Chelat. Has someone used it?X0IsaEnviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de TelcelSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Fri, 06 May 2011 20:39:08 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: My son can't smell I think Isa,Sorry, more questions;)What problems did you had with IV chelation n your son? What were the chelators you used and with what concentrations? Thanks,Sasmita> > > > >> > > > > Hi All,> > > > > It has suddently dawned on me that my 31/2 yrear old son might not > > > > be smelling things.> > > > >> > > > > Is there a way to figure it out?
