It was both horrible and wonderful at the same time, as I had a major panic attack at the start of the meeting. But it was wonderful because I didn't leave, the attack passed, and I was able to cogently present some basic info. on ACT (control strategies, avoidance, the six components). We did the " costs of avoidance " exercise (from The Happiness Trap), and members shared about that. My co-facilitator was a great help, as she is very interested in mindfulness. Our subsequent meetings will focus on various tools and exercises for practicing the six elements.
