Guest guest
Oh, I'm so sorry things have not improved. I am pretty new and so I don't know that I have anything great to add, but I'll tell you that when my son is falling apart the treatment that works best is to take him for Zyto testing and treatment using BioSet technology. How I understand it is that it reads the body and figures out what the person is sensitive to or reacting to. It looks for imbalances on an energetic level and starts at the very basic levels (minerals, hormones, amino acids, etc.) and works up. The imbalances can be corrected (temporarily) and may give the person relief from the discomfort. This is not a fix but may give you more insight into what he is reacting to for the time being. I think you mentioned you are in southern CA. We are in northern CA and if you'd like to me to call our practitioner and ask about locations near you, I'd be willing to. I totally know the feeling of playing the guessing game and waiting for something to work. I pray for your strength!! na > > > >> My son aggressed in school again - while on their community walk he made himself fall in an embankment with no antecedents. He has done this walk many timed. Then back in the classroom he threw objects and kicked staff just because he was told to re-staple his artwork. It may be a die off from pathogens. He is not on herbs or ABX yet. Only thing different is a slight increase in custom probiotics d lactate. We will try 5HTP 50mg this afternoon. I want to ask about zeolite - this is a binder like Sonne's #7 right? I see it is available in capsule form from nutramedix. Is this the one I should get for mopping up in lieu of charcoal? My son is only 45 lbs and gets 100 mg in the morning. This is half the dose the naturopath said we could use. Also, how are his lips? If his lips are still bothering him, he could be in a great deal of pain, which of course will add to the aggression. You mentioned herpes in one of your previous posts. There was time when I used to get many blisters on my lips or they would often get chapped and the pain was excruciating. What helped was putting mositurizer on them. I have used Burts Bees lip balm, and coconut oil also works well. They key is to keep them as covered as possible until the inflammation goes down and the lips are completely healed. Guest guest
Fransel; I'm so sorry for what you're going through... I am surprised we haven't had the same action for my eldest... they have had to clear the classroom on several occasions due to her violent outbursts. Another mom on this board mentioned using melatonin throughout the day to help control behaviours - maybe you can discuss this with your doc. I have yet to try this but I may look into it to help calm behaviours. Ya, yeast can be ongoing and quite an issue even with a month on prescription antifungals. We were on for a year+ (plus herbal antifungals) and we STILL had yeast issues. Please keep posting - I hope things settle for you soon! Guest guest
Even when you do find something that works, it will likely not rid it immediately and forever. My kids got better over time, and there was always a fluctuation here and there. Currently, Lutimax is working well for my angry girl, but I can not say if it will last. She also needs iodine supplementation. She is also on Mellatonin, no wheat, no potatoes and organic. She also can not eat oats, and even gluten free breads can set her off. But, over time it has improved immensely. So, I say to work with the school to come up with a plan, because it will take a while to get the moods under control. With our special needs children, they fluctuate often. If you could go to the school and observe, you might also find something setting him off (I did almost every time), or at least learn more about his environment so you can better know what changes he needs. Don't trust the school to make all the decisions. School personnel are not as bright as they portray to be, and I have been downright shocked at some of the things I have seen at school, for example: dishonesty, giving my kids wheat, not letting them go to the bathroom even when they are crying tears to go, around very strong toxic smells daily, and more. So, you see, try to visit the school to see how he reacts. Even if the teachers are doing great, you will see your son's behaviors which will help you learn more about what his needs are. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > > > > >> My son aggressed in school again - while on their community walk he made himself fall in an embankment with no antecedents. He has done this walk many timed. Guest guest
Hello naYes I would very much like a referral to a zyto scan testing center here in southern California. Tks to all.Fransel
Guest guest
Oh my gosh - a year on antifungals? Did you have to rotate? I am worried about die offs! I didn't think yeast was ever an issue since we were on SCD. I wish these nasty yeast would just go away and not leave a mess! I am so tired now but can put the Ipad down. There is so much to learn from each others posts. The answers don't come easy and not the same fix for all.I also need good probiotics - right now we are still on the child dose of custom probiotics d lactate formula. Are you guys using this?Sent from my iPad Fransel; I'm so sorry for what you're going through... Guest guest
I have been on Diflucan for years, and Sporanox for years before that, probably about 9-10 years in total. Sporanox is another antifungal, which actually works better for me and my yeast control; but it also interacts with some of the antibiotics that I need to keep Lyme and Co under control. I take Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm, Guar Gum, and Chlorella to help my GI and absorb toxins. There are some common absorption properties between charcoal and edible clay, but also some differences. If he only tolerates edible clay, then use it. Guest guest
Fransel, My son's doctor told me that she does not like to use Diflucan because causes havoc to the liver and it is quite damaging to it. I am not sure but I think anger has to do with liver problems, perhaps it will be worthwhile to try to help the liver at this point in time using liver live( Bioray) or other liver mixture as it is very clear that the other things you have been giving to keep him calm are not working perhaps liver life may help to settle him . Just my thought. Olga > > > >> My son aggressed in school again - while on their community walk he made himself fall in an embankment with no antecedents. He has done this walk many timed. Guest guest
Yes, any systemic drug can be hard on the liver. We had to have regular blood testing to check for elevated liver enzymes. > > > > > >> My son aggressed in school again - while on their community walk he made himself fall in an embankment with no antecedents. Guest guest
Heidi, Are you using Lutimax and Enzo Professional together? Do you find that they do the same thing, or are they completely different? We have had great success with Lutimax lately, but are thinking of adding Enzo. Guest guest
Yes, using both. Lutimax feels like it makes more blood go to the front of the brain where focus is. It also seems to have a compounding effect. In that it works more every day than the day before. Also, I think it is helping with empathy, able to understand others' feelings, because my daughter seems to be thinking more along those lines, and she usually is totally inconsiderate. She came home and told me that she can now pay attention to what the teacher says. So, wow, is what I have to say. Yes, the Enzo: profeesional is different. It also helps with clear thinking for us and more stable moods. Not sure how. I guess I would have to pick Lutimax over the Enzo if I had to choose, but the Enzo is working well enough for me to continue paying the high price for it. These are only short-term observations of about a month's use. Things might change down the road because they often do. Guest guest
As heartbreaking as it is, maybe it will help your son to have some time at home. When a situation is bad at school, it will stay that way even after you fix the biolgical issues. The teachers and students come to expect that sort of behavior out of the difficult student and the difficult student will play the role he has been characterized with. This can be about expectations as well as repition. Our ASD students tend to stick to their routines. When aggression has become part of the routine, they dutifully play the part they auditioned for and won. If he takes a break to heal (emotionally and biologically) whatever is initially setting of the aggression, it might give them time to organize the way they support him. Rewrite the scene so to speak. Or they may change placement, which gives him a fresh start. Also consider that an aggressive student is emotionally and physically damaging to staff and other students. It can cause a great deal of anxiety, which effects the other students behavior and the teacher's performance as an educator. This is not the student's fault, but it is the case. Finally, I agree with Heidi that many teachers and professionals are putting on a show of expertise that they do not actually have. Never assume they know the best thing to do, and be prepared to change placement if necessary. Jen
