Our LLMD insisted my son needed his tonsils out.

So he had his tonsils out 10 days ago, so far so good.

Just wondered if anyone has needed to use more antibiotics to clear up more

strep, if so what did you use? Or anything else was needed ?

Has your child improved?

Thanks

Allie

Allie,

I am very excited to hear that your son is doing good after the tonsillectomy!

My son is scheduled also to do it after a month and I am super nervous from now.

We have been postponing the surgery for a while, but our LLMD is insisting to do

it the sooner the better, so we have a date for the beginning of July.Could you

share with me what preparation you did for the surgery, what anasthesia you

used, what organ support before and after. How long the pain continued and did

you have to use lots of pain medicine? is he able to eat now? sorry for so many

questions.

Our LLMD said that after the tonsillectomy we will need to use the Azithromycin

every day for 2-3 weeks (currently my son is one day per week the antibiotic)

and he said most likely after that we will need to use the Azithromycin for 2-3

more months until any remainings of the strep are completely cleared. Are you

doing something similar?

Thanks for sharing,

Krassi
