Guest guest
FOr my son the terrible aggression was caused by PANDAS. For more info go to www.pandasnetwork.org Signs of pandas are aggression, biting, rages (often eyes diolate), anxiety, panic attacks, vocal and physical tics, loss of handwriting skills, loss of math skills and many more that even mimic autism. Try to get a script for high dose azithromycin 10mg/kg. If that does not help add in high dose 5 day steroid burst. Next, consider IVIG. Dr Cunnigham stated at Autism One Conference that PANDAS should be renamed PANS .... as the neuro immune issues can be caused by strep, lyme or other bacteria/virus. Subject: Please helpTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 3:51 PM Hi All;My eldest daughter is going nuts. Attacking me and throwing furniture... Does anyone have any suggestion of how much calming supp to give her to essentially sedate her asap? Here are the calming supps I have on hand:GABA5 HTPInositolL-theanineMagnesium citrateTravacor (calming supp)Bach's rescue remedyKavinace (GABA derivative, also calming)Any suggestions appreciated...She attacked her E.A (educational assistant here in Canada) today. Grabbed her by the throat and wouldn't let go. She was set off by the sound of my 4 year old's voice - he also attends the same school. E.A went to the doctor and has bruising, is traumatized. I'm so upset. I will have to put her on risperidol - she is attacking everyone/thing. I am afraid of what is going to happen with the school board etc. I have been resisting meds for over 4 years (when the aggression started to escalate). Very upsetting. Thanks for letting me vent.Kim
Guest guest
For my family, I only had two that were seriously aggressive. One went away with digestive enzymes, ginger root and no wheat. The other had to have a whole slew of things. She has to have lots of things for inflammation and ammonia. It took many things: Mellatonin (only at night), Lutimax, NeuroNutrients by Neurobiologix, and Neuro-Immune Support Infection Control by Neurobiologix, and Mitochondrial Restore by Neurobiologix (her doc is affiliated with Neurobiologix), Modifilan, turmeric, and more. She responds well to just about anything that kills pathogens, but always initially gets worse on antibacterials. Anyhow, I think that it has to do with the amino acids not balanced, causing too many toxins, like ammonia and oxidation and a bunch of things related to such. ly, I have not done genetic testing yet, but am seeing a doc this week, because I have concerns that she might have a genetic issue that will always need to be treated (take supplements) for the rest of her life. Guest guest
Hi Kim, I do hear you on this. If your child is dangerous to self or others, then you have to do what you have to do. I have been there. It does not mean that it is forever, and it does not mean you can't continue to work on underlying issues. It means your child is suffering and you need help NOW. It means a means to an end. If your child was having a heart attack, you would administer the appropriate medications, right? Ask God for wisdom, and He will guide you during this crisis.
