I can't wait to start riding it!!! I also can't wait to get on an airplane and not have to worry about whether I can buckle the seat belt. Guest guest Posted April 10, 2002 Report Share Posted April 10, 2002 Learning to scuba dive in Hawaii? [*wink*,*wink*] Other than that... when I lose enough weight I would *love* to skydive again. When I did it last I weighed about 260 and did not have the strength to pull the harness down on my legs [hanging in mid air]... so the harness was cutting off my femeral arteries and I was getting light headed. BUt OOOOHHHHH it was fun! I am a thrill seeker at heart, and asked if we could do sommersaults, so we did two backflips as we left the plane! Thank goodness I have it on video, so I can re-live it! The guy I jumped with (it was a tandem jump) weighed more than I did... his nickname was " Bubba " (we were in the Tampa area)... we fell like a ton of lead balloons and the videographer had to dive head first to try and keep up with us! IT was AWESOME though! On an aside... thanks for the comments of the choice between Hawaii and Michigan... it should be a no-brainer, right? But... what if Michigan offers a really nice scholarship? And I still have to tell my husband that I have applied and been accepted... I am waiting to hear from Michigan and to sort of figure out what all costs will be involved. Okay... back to work for me! I went to both of these parks a few years ago and couldn't walk very much so missed a lot of beautiful sites. Did that earlier this year (I was a nun in The Sound Of Music and had a great time!) and once I'm settled in here I'm going to try out for another musical. I also tried rollerblading, which was something else I'd always wanted to do " when I lost weight " . Then there was going down one of those twisty tube slides at the playground, riding a bike, going on the Rockin' Roller Coaster at Disney and just playing on the floor with my kids. Did ALL of it. Now, thanks to putting the bug in my head, I'd love to try one of those rock climbing things.
