Guest guest
Consider: MMS overnighted by Fedex immediately, maybe someone is still answering phones in some time zone for one thing, if no immediate access to the RIGHT doc and abx. Who knows what coinfections came in??? You do know know for sure what if anything was injected into you and where else bites may be hidden. Considerations: colloidal silver, any antimicrobials on hand you might have: olive leaf, oil of oregano, doses of high C, zeolite, look stuff up in the archives just to get through the night. Maybe homeopathic Ledum if you have it. Bullseye rash: no formula, different for every person's system. Always have a protocol kit on hand for when this happens. ia 100 sounds like a possible stopgap for tonight, but get to the best LLMD or NP first thing. To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Sun, June 19, 2011 11:27:01 PMSubject: Help! Just got bit by a tick Just got bit at least six times by a tick right over my heart. I was able to remove the black tick all intact before it burrowed under. Applied hydrogen peroxide and alcohol to bite sites. What can I do now? This all happened about two hours ago. I would really rather not go on abx. No bulls eye rash (how long before that would show up?) but multiple red bites. I have this on hand: Enhansa, OLE, ia 100, LDM--would any of this do anything as a precautionary measure? Any other suggestions of what to do immediately following tick bites?

Guest guest
If you got multiple bites, then you should have pulled off multiple ticks. It is also possible that what bit you was not a tick, as ticks do not inflict multiple bites. It can take 1-30 days for a bull’s eye rash to show up. OLE may be the best preventive, but I am not familiar with Enhansa or ia 100. LDM works great synergistically, so combining that with OLE might be a good idea. Anne M., BSN, MSN/IH, RNmcfighter@... Guest guest
The usual treatment for very recent tick bites is antibiotics, unless people have a chronic health problem that renders them sensitive to antibiotics. The sooner the better. Are you absolutely sure it's a tick? I have not heard of ticks doing multiple bites. Fleas do multiple bites, but don't stay attached. Bed bugs are on the rise. You may want to show your tick to others to ensure it's a tick. To treat chronic Lyme (once you have had a long time), it takes an entire plan, using diet, supplements and many herbals and sometimes homeopathy. Alternative treatments for Lyme are geared for long term infections and are modified to each individual. Samento is a popular choice. But, you have to realize that ticks also carry Babesia and Bartonella and other infections. For those who can get antibiotics right away and get well from them, great! This is the ideal situation. The long-term alternative treatments are for those of us who are too ill to handle antibiotics or don't want to worry about the side effects that come from long-term use of them. A lot of people can get well from taking antibiotics right away, and should. It would be an easier, cheaper route. I love alternative treatments, but at this time, there is not a lot of talk about what works quickly to rid Lyme upon a recent infection. Guest guest
Thanks for the input. The tick was biting me but I kept on scratching at the spot over my heart so I moved it around several times, thus the multiple bites. My general doctor just gave me a script for Doxycycline 200mg twice daily enough for two days' worth. The Lyme doctor I spoke to says he would put me on this dose for SIX WEEKS!! I had a very bad (documented in text books) bulls eye Lyme rash and was very sick from it years ago so am now very upset about this. Have to decide tonight whether or not to go to this expensive Lyme doctor tomorrow for such a long-term abx script or, since I caught this right away and was able to remove the entire tick, if the two days of doxy would be good enough? Thank you for any suggestions. > > The usual treatment for very recent tick bites is antibiotics, unless > people have a chronic health problem that renders them sensitive to > antibiotics.
