Guest guest
This is heartbreaking. It is usually typical to try to get on antiobiotics right away for acute infections, for 6 weeks. You could try a naturopath or LLMD. Your average doctor just still thinks that Lyme is some rare, easily treatable thing. With Lyme, waiting for Lyme symptoms seems to lead to chronic Lyme, with a lifetime of treatments, because once you get it under control, relapse rates are high for those who go off of treatments. Samento or Cat's Claw is often used in the alternative health arena. There are many other things, like Berberine and garlic (fresh only or freeze-dried). The problem is that you usually also get another pathogen from the tick as well, like Babesia, Bartonella or even viruses. Try to find a practitioner right away. You can list where you live on this forum, plus also Google to find an LLMD or Naturopath, and also see www.Liafoundation.org for health practitioners who know all this stuff. She has a big bullseye rash on her side, complains of leg pain, and has swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Thank you > > Thane >
Guest guest
Take her to a doc who knows Lyme as fast as possible. This is one organism that you don’t want to depend on alternatives only. There are herbs that can be beneficial, Cat’s Claw (Samento from Nutramedix is a liquid form that is very easy to give to kids). But she really needs help from a professional that knows what he or she is doing, even with alternatives. If you live in CA, I have a list of docs that understand Lyme. PM me if you want info.
