I give rice crackers and i have never seen anything horrid with gluten when he had to have a bread stick at the restaurant...i didn't give any grains for a long time but didn't have squat to put the pumpkinseed butter on and it got so darn hard to plan meals and snacks. It's kinda hot and I just baked another pie, but you could mix it all together and it might make a decent muffin, that's been on my radar to try. Ask on LOD board, they had a few "protien bars" that looked like they would be good. I have a little "stuffer" so haven't been in a hurry to make things like muffins but just dropping the green beans, massive amounts of coconut water (thank god that was expensive on top of everything else) and fresh pineapple has made a difference--not huge but consistent steady gains across the board--but GI is working better and it's moldsville here. You don't want to go low to fast, that will be hard on your son, so just look at the list and aim towards medium oxalate and work the high foods out. I couldn't find a calcium citrate that l liked, so I got Blue Bonnet cal/mag citrate and it's worked very nicely. Do ask what would be helpful for dumps for pain and emotional rages as some of the moms have really been there survived that--a arginine, topical magnesium and there is a brain/mood one that starts with an "I"....Heidi knows that one.

Paperwork is calling me, good luck!

I tried congee and that didn't serve us so well as gut was still a wreck. Also did labs and matty's MMP-9 went through the roof and dropped right back to a good number after dropping it....so if amylose is at play (or all the gliadins) it might be best to just limit it rice crackers until you get to a good place. Had high hopes for that one....and another problem was over eating!

Fransel,

Rice porridge or congee is very very healing to the intestines and is also used in chinese medicine as a way to strengthen the digestive system. Its a nourishing food. and coating. easy to eat.

You make one part rice to 6 parts water. You can cook for several hours and the longer you cook the better the heling properties. You can also make with chicken broth. Add ginger and maybe green onion. or a egg.

It is used in oriental medicine as most a recoup from the cold and flu. if i can find the article on it, i will post it.

Nuts are very hard on the digestive system. when you are detoxifying, it can be alot of fat to deal with that the body has to break down. soft veggies, in season local and organic, moderate protein and broths, all of this helps to rebuild.

goodluck,

Misty

Rice - food for yeast?

Is it ok to give rice crackers? I am looking for breakfast breads to replace nut breads. We are SCD and avoiding grains due to yeast. Is it ok to go back to rice?

I'd love to drop the nuts!

Bethany, I almost was going to post that it's most likely undigested food and it might be as most worms we deal with are not visible to the naked eye--i have taped up so much funk and sent it off to labs, EAV testing and outside of a live round worm...they all came back as undigested food fragments.

But I googled lutien and tada....it can be effective against worms....odd that we are using it to protect the brain and increase function and we have seen nice results. But things that help against worms and GSE or OoO are staples for combatting the other funk that gets stirred up:

Pumpkin seeds: high lutien and the oil is supposed to dislodge the suckers from the GI tract

Raw Ginger: love it...helpful for flushing the lymphs and against worms (my client at Bloomingdales told me sushi was ok during pregnancy in her culture due to the ginger and wasabi)

Artiminisin: good stuff period...great against parasites, antioxidant. 2 weeks on 1 week off is the norm and if you notice anything with the ears STOP

Garlic: One of my go to girl practictioners had a mom whose kid couldn't get rid of the worms, she finally just jammed a raw clove of garlic up the tush and that got them. Not saying to do that, but since most of us test drive stuff before giving it to our kids....this one I have not tried....garlic can be tough if sulfur sensitive or piperine sensitive

Black walnut hulls: clear the wreckage

Luvos*: blows them up

Marco Parasites*: like this product

Isagenix has a product called Isaflush*: bentonite clay, mag oxide (gotta keep the colon moving) and black walnut hulls

*call carol at renewal enterprises

We love this salad during the full and new moons--low oxalate and mango helps the gallbladder:

arugala, mango, little onion, chicken, raw ginger drizzled with pumpkinseed oil.

My kid isn't a picky eater

Pumpkin seed oil isn't the easiest thing to find, so grab it when you find it. Matty also LOVES this "peanut butter"...toast raw pumkin seeds and grind up...add a little honey, good salt and pumpkin seed oil and put on rice cracker...yum!

When i got the live one we were doing a homeopathic metal and organ support detox....stirred up way too much, but tackling biofilms unleashes alot of uninvited guests. guess we just have to keep plugging away until the immune system can handle this stuff on it's own.
