Guest guest
He probably needed a rest anyway. Sounds like a rough day. I agree with Valium being safe short term.       I have been thinking about your boy and what may happen with antibiotics. I am thinking that maybe his body will be working on so much that he will be more calm, and probably be in bed.I would think that he would not be able to attend school. He will want and need more rest and looking after. That was my sons reaction.Although there are many spaztic times with my son also. He struggled for many months, then went part time, then I totally pulled him out to home school him.He gets a lot of rest now and is a little more calm probably from less stress and knows what to expect everyday. Also,we have been doing the NIDS protocal and Valtrex has been the main med that has calmed my son.The only thing that has made such positives. He was on antibiotics first for 2-2and one half years then had to back up and do the NIDS protocal because antibiotics werent working because of his immune system being clogged with viruses.                  .I hope this makes sense,as I am very tired but I wanted to reply asap.       Tammy F.  Hello I had a phone consult with the LLMD today. She assured us that Valium is safe and would be given for only 2-3months. She says his tests don't show PANDAS but rather inflammation. We are still waiting to get back test from Neuroscience for his neurotransmitters. Before I started on Valium he had another episode at the blood draw place. He kept on making himself drop, rolled in the gutter, tore his magazine, and cried. He said, " sad."  He acted up for 45 min. I decided to give the Valium but forgot to cut the dose. I ended up dosing with too much 10mg! Holy cow! He is now asleep and snoring! Sent from my iPad On May 19, 2011, at 2:07 PM, Fund wrote:  It sounds like your son may also have PANDAS. Guest guest
Hi Fransel,The inflammation is probably causing a good deal of the problem. You can try ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory and see if you get a good result. I have heard many people say their children are calm when they have taken some. It makes sense. If there is inflammation in the brain or the intestines it probably is causing pain. Hello I had a phone consult with the LLMD today. Guest guest
FranselI fully agree with . I read your mail from this morning saying it's been a better day, so seems like it is the way to go. I hope he feels better and you also get some rest from all the stress lived in past days. Pls dont forget to take care of yourself too, some L-theanine and RR for mom will help you feel better too. In prayer for blessings for your family,IsaEnviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de TelcelSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Sat, 21 May 2011 11:07:58 -0700To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Succumbed to Valium Hi Fransel,The inflammation is probably causing a good deal of the problem.
