Hello dear list members,I gave my son Valium 10mg (forgot to cut pill in half) at 4pm after he rolled on gutter for half an hour. He fell asleep for about an hour. Six hours later he had another rage attack kicking and hitting. He lunged at his brother and his nanny while I tried to call his father. He knocked down objects in the kitchen again. We managed to bring him down and tied his ankles. We struggled for an hour. We are all dead beat and scared. Hope he doesn't wake up in the middle of the night. The doctor dismissed PANDAS and said we would work on getting inflammation down. She is mailing me supplement type stuff for inflammation and immune support. I will call tomorrow and demand antibiotics for PANDAS! My son acts like a madman now and has regressed - lost many of his words and skills around the house. Will there be rage when we start ABX? We could not handle another anger attack as he is very strong! Please anyone if you know of a behavior med that works with little or no side effects, please share. I am so ready to medicate now. Even Valium does not seem to affect him. I am sorry to break down like this. Hope no one goes through the tough times I am having, when child gets bigger and stronger. God bless our children. My off line email: franselw@... or cell phone .Sent from my iPad

He probably needed a rest anyway. Sounds like a rough day. I agree

with Valium being safe short term. I have been thinking about

your boy and what may happen with antibiotics. I am thinking that

maybe his body will be working on so much that he will be more

calm, and probably be in bed.I would think that he would not be able

to attend school. He will want and need more rest and looking after.

That was my sons reaction.Although there are many spaztic times with

my son also. He struggled for many months, then went part time, then I

totally pulled him out to home school him.He gets a lot of rest now

and is a little more calm probably from less stress and knows what

to expect everyday. Also,we have been doing the NIDS protocal and

Valtrex has been the main med that has calmed my son.The only thing

that has made such positives. He was on antibiotics first for 2-2and

one half years then had to back up and do the NIDS protocal because

antibiotics werent working because of his immune system being

clogged with viruses. .I hope this makes sense,as

I am very tired but I wanted to reply asap. Tammy F.

Hello

I had a phone consult with the LLMD today. She assured

us that Valium is safe and would be given for only

2-3months. She says his tests don't show PANDAS but rather

inflammation. We are still waiting to get back test from

Neuroscience for his neurotransmitters.

Before I started on Valium he had another episode at

the blood draw place. He kept on making himself drop,

rolled in the gutter, tore his magazine, and cried. He

said, " sad." He acted up for 45 min. I decided to

give the Valium but forgot to cut the dose. I ended up

dosing with too much 10mg! Holy cow! He is now asleep and

snoring!

It sounds like your son may also have

PANDAS. My son has slowly backslided the

past several years not knowing it was

PANDAS. I would try to find a PANDAS doc and

start getting him treated as it can get

worse and worse till it's dangerous for

everyone. Monocycline is good for pandas

and lyme

I'm so

sorry you are

going through

this

Fransel... How

are you doing?

If it were me,

the first

thing I would

grab is my

colloidal

silver and

spray it on

the wound. I

am assuming he

broke skin?

My son

aggressed in

school again -

while on their

community walk

he made

himself fall

in an

embankment

with no

antecedents.

He has done

this walk many

timed. Then

back in the

classroom he

threw objects

and kicked

staff just

because he was

told to

re-staple his

artwork. It

may be a die

off from

pathogens. He

is not on

herbs or ABX

yet. Only

thing

different is a

slight

increase in

custom

probiotics d

lactate. We

will try 5HTP

50mg this

afternoon. I

want to ask

about zeolite

- this is a

binder like

Sonne's #7

right? I see

it is

available in

capsule form

from

nutramedix. Is

this the one I

should get for

mopping up in

lieu of

charcoal? Tks

to all.
