Don't know if we have PANDAS but just in case. Fransel From: franselw@... Date: Sat, 9 Apr 2011 17:54:59 +0000 To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism > ReplyTo: franselw@... Subject: Re: Candida antigen/ antibody panel I will discuss this with doc as he said my son has no strep. If he does should probiotics with streptococcus thermophilus be avoided? Your note: For those with PANDAS symptoms yet negative ASO and anti-DNase, Cunningham test is a very good alternative to investigate further. I don't know a magnotherapy practitioner in the SF area. (Anyone?) My son and I both see a Chinese acupuncturist who does not use needles and mainly use hand manipulation on the low jaws and neck. So far he has been treated for 2 sessions (once a week); his excessive yellowish nasal and throat mucous discharge that persisted for the previous 5 months is now 70% better. It is so true that yeast infection is a sign for the imbalance in the inner terrain. Definitely something else is at play too. Together with Candida antigen/antibody panel, I tested him for IgE to 13 strains of mold, IgG and IgM to Mycoplasma pneumniae, and Strep antibodies (ASO and anti-DNase). All things are either negative or within the reference, with the exception of Candida IgA. I just asked his doctor to also order for us Fry Labs Complete Stain Profile to look for hematologic biofilm and blood borne parasites. Cunningham test is run by a small lab and has been backlogged. So we will wait on this, and will complete another round of Zithromax first before testing. Dr. C's test looks for Cam Kinase II, anti-lysoganlioside, anti-tubulin, anti-dopamine receptor 1 and 2. For those with PANDAS symptoms yet negative ASO and anti-DNase, Cunningham test is a very good alternative to investigate further. Thank you for the reminder of neurotoxins. I need to be more diligent in using toxin binders. I will open a new bottle of NanoTek Chitosan to put it in use. We saw good result with this in the past. I will re-focus on replenishing my son's gut flora. Hang in there Isa. Keep us posted after you recharge yourself. I am sending you positive thoughts. Limin LiminI really love custom probiotics d-lactate free formula. It is pricey but worth every penny. also remember that some presence of candida in the body is considered normal, even more if you have been using abx low dose for a long period of time. Thought #2 could be: your child is having a more effective immune response to isolated candida in the body, that might be the reason why the antibodies are so high. I don't think its systemic. I think this is the right time to share my most recent update on panavir, you will see why: while using the panavir, my son had a considerable regression in behavior, attention span and cognitive performance. This past saturday he was so bad, I was getting out of control. Physically, he showed a horrible rash in gluteal area, lower back and tummy, BAD green mucosity running from his nose for several days already. he also had been on IM antibiotics for 5 days. I started cleaning his nose w a silicone sprayer filled w boiled water (boiled it w himalayan salt 3xday). The mucous discharge I saw from this was enormous. Couple hours later, I mixed YL oils in a small quantity neem oil and gave 3 drops in each side of his nose 3xday (head hanging down so it gets deep inside the nose). My kid didn't enjoy any of this, that's for sure. With all this, the mucosity changed from green sticky monster slime to permanent yellowish-watery. His behavior improved too, but not enough to consider the job done. I took him to the magnetotherapy practitioner on wednesday. When he asked the body, he said "this child is going through a BIG cleanse, there is a lot of viral waste and yeast coming out through his nose". He said the cleaning/purifying agents l had used helped the sinnuses evacuate all the acumulated discharge. He applied the magnets to tymus, head, face, spine. Limin, the next day, the behaviors stopped at ONCE. He has had the most happy, affectionate, babbling 3 days l have seen since a month or more ago. Besides sharing what l have experienced this past days, (yes girls, the panavir has not been an easy ride, march was a torture) what I am also trying to say is: thought # 3: yeast is what you tested for, but it is not the main problem. I think this opportunistic organism is taking advantage of a more relevant matter being fought/evacuated from your son's body and the cellular stress occurring as a consequence. Accumulated, not processed dead bacteria or viral waste (called TOXOIDS) can cause the same behaviors as candida, irritating the brain and NS with neurotoxins. Do you have a magnetotherapy practitioner in the area?? It is safe, painless and so worth a try. The energy field created rebalances the body environment removing the conditions the pathogens have created and adapted to, causing them to die. I think for obvious reasons, a very good probiotic will help a lot, and if you use the oil mixture, you might get surprised. If his BMs have been regular, maybe increasing the frequency for a couple of days (upping fiber intake) could also help download the toxic burden. Wouldn't this be a good time to give some more of that good ACV/manuka honey Lemonade you make? And some charcoal a couple of hours later? Last but not least, homeopathic Rhus Tox (30C) 2 pellets 20 mins before breakfast helps eliminate a bunch of toxins too. If you have a very strong reaction, dissolve 1 pellet in 1/2 glass of water, let stand for 1 hour and give 1 tsp every hour for 7 hours. I used this w success too. I hope I didn't ramble too much, I am quite tired from this past days and l have so much to say! LOL! Blessings 2 U. He has been taking Zithromax once a week for a half year to treat PANDAS and had a few episodes of yeast flare-up judged from his seemingly uncontrollable laughter on some days. Here is his test result:- Candida Antigen Negative (reference: negative)- Candida Antibodies IgG <30 (reference: 0 - 29)- Candida Antibodies IgM <10 (reference: 0 - 9)- Candida Antibodies IgA 29 High (reference: 0 - 9)What puzzles me is that while no Candida Antigen is detected, he is high in Candida antibodies IgA. Since both IgG and IgM are within the reference range, his elevated IgA might just indicate a more superficial Candida infection, and elevated IgA alone cannot be used to suggest systemic candidiasis, yes? Elevated IgA might till reflect yeast infection in mucosal membrane. In this case, will you treat with pharmaceutical drugs such as Nystatin, Diflucan, or with probiotics and enzymes, and/or rotation of natural anti-fungals such as caprylic acid, pau d'arco, oregano oil, garlic...? What probiotics products can effectively treat yeast infections? My son can not tolerate Saccharomyces boulardii. I concern that anti-fungal drugs are hard on the liver. Has anyone had a good result from using ThreeLac? Thanks for any advice or comments. Limin
