Guest guest
Sounds like you have a knowledgeable doc. Since he knew which tests to run, he will probably give you a good explanation on how the results tie in to his views. Keep in mind that it is thought that most of abnormal lab tests are thought to be able to return to normal when pathogens and toxins are significantly reduced. So, much of it may not be a permanent thing. Love and prayers, Heidi N I just recieved my labs were my mitochondrial antibodies are up..(M2) Evidently there are two mito tests, smooth muscle and m2. My smooth muscle is ok, but my m2 is up..indicating liver issues..the results say its found in people with primary biliary cirrhosis. Has anyone heard of such a thing? any help would be soo appreciated. Misty
Guest guest
Misty, do you have a link to this particular test or lab that performs this test? Thanks. An elevated antimitochondrial antibodies M2 level suggests the possibility of Primary Biliary Cirrhosis as you mentioned below. This can cause harmful substances to build up in the liver and possibly lead to scarring liver tissues. This is part of the autoimmunity that the body is attacking the mitochondria in the cells of the bile ducts. Although this test is primarily used for diagnosing PBC, there are presentations of other autoimmunity and inflammation symptoms in patients with high levels of AMA-M2. I would think that a liver panel test should also be ordered. Have you had a consult with your doctor yet? What are the recommendations for the next steps? Guest guest
Thanks Limin, very much. He is most concerned right now about my tsh being very suppressed..so we are addressing that. I researched some over the weekend, and all i could find is basically what you had shared below. Liver function actually looks really good. and other antibody tests are neg. I am wondering if this can be from sludge and stones. BW energetically tested that i am basically plugged up in the gallbladder area, and parasites might be a part ofit. So iam working on treating those things..and when i am stronger i will try and do a liver flush. It really helped me in the past..so well see. Alli know is the test is called mitochondrial antibody or m2...its done by labcorp. Thanks again, Misty Re: Mitochondrial antibodies/Limin?
