Questions about Valtrex and living in the mountains

Dear group,

I was wondering if I can get some of your thoughts on two things that I have

been wondering lately:

1. As per blood and ART testing my son showed high viral and he was prescribed

Valtrex 250mg/3 times a day (38 pounds body weight) plus Diflucan tiwce daily.

He has been on this dose for already 3 months and I don't see any dramatic

changes yet – my son is still extremely sensory (he wears non-stop socks and

shoes or slippers when inside the house, even when he sleeps and he would throw

huge tantrum if they are missing), still no changes in speech and simply my high

expactations for this anti-viral didn't come true. He is more aware and more

affectionate with us, but I am not sure even if this is from Valtrex or the

other things we are giving him. Our trial period is 6 months, so we have 3 more

months to go, but I wanted to hear if anybody else has had similar experience

and the positives came much after the 3 months?

2. My second question is related with our vacation that we had last week and I

still cannot stop thinking about what happened and what action we should take in

the future. We went for 5 days very high on the mountains (close to 7500 feet

elevation) with very fresh and clean air, very clean lake and sand, no wireless

was working, simply isolated from the whole city world that we normally live in.

I was stunned to see that my son's sensory and OCD almost compltely disappered

while there. He was walking bare feet (this hasn't happened for the past 2

years, as I mentioned he is terrified to be without socks and shoes or slippers

on top of the socks) and he was not holding his 5 toys that he holds non-stop in

his hands and about which he is totally obsessed, even when he sleeps. Simply

his autistic/PANDAS symptoms almost complteley disappered, he was happy, playing

in the sand, very excited kid – he looked like the boy he used to be before he

regressed. We haven't changed anything else – he was taking the same

supplements, the same organic low oxalates food, the only change was the

environment as I said. It was such a pleasure watching my son there, I was

hoping the improvements we are seeing in the mountain will hold even when we

come back home. However since we are back all his sensory and OCD are back full

gear. So I cannot stop wondering – we are pooring and spending all this money

and energy in his treatments and many supplements and still not seeing any

dramatic changes. However, simply changing the environment with much cleaner

made the dramatic changes for such a short time.

What I am missing and how I can make our home here as clean as the home high in

the mountains? Is it even possible?

Our home doesn't have any wireless either and we have the canopy around my son's

bed against EMR, he has earthing sheets, we have propolis vaporizers against

mold in the rooms, we have water filters and RO for drinking water, what am I

missing?

Sorry for the long post, I was just wondering if anybody else has noticed

changes when you are in the mountain. May be the answer is the high altitude,

may be simply people living in higher altitudes are healthier and less autistic?

What do you think?

Thanks,

Krassi
