Tonsillectomy - does it include the adenoids?

Hi all,

I have question for those of you who have done the tonsillectomy for your child

(for reducing PANDAS symptoms) – did you have to remove just the tonsils or also

the adenoids?

Dr. K strongly recommended to do tonsillectomy for my son and we even found EENT

doctor willing to do that however when he asked us if we want only the tonsils

removed or also the adenoids I found myself in this weird situation that I

didn't know what to answer.

I sent email to Dr. K's office to clarify, but until I get answer could you

share your experience?
