Guest guest
FranselFlurbiprofen is used in severe inflammatory processes like Rheumatoidal Arthritis, bursitis, etc. I have heard of people using it long term. However, ALL drugs and even a lot of natural meds can be taxing on the liver, but inflammation is something that needs to be addressed urgently in every case. My thought is pls keep in mind the liver is the only organ w the ability to create new cells at a pace, that basically, we have a new liver twice a year....so keep your antiinflammatories AND support his liver so he can cope with all the detox he'll need to do. Milk thistle, boldo tea, castor oil packs, laser on the liver, apples (left to get brown, for 1/2 hr) are some easy tricks to help his liver. Sorry if l sound pushy about my opinion of u keeping the AI drugs on board but l am being sincere and l believe u haven't tried it for long enough and, reaqding your son's case, l believe they are highly important. Let me tell you, just for your peace of mind, that l gave my son 300 mg of flurbiprofen a day for a 5 month time span and nothing happened to him, he was calmed and gained back the affectionate child he was before regressing and he has kept this gains. I checked his liver before starting the drug and every 4-6 weeks while he was on it. My kiddo is 6yo, so dear Fransel, put your hands over all of your son's medicines, pray for God to annoint them with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of health and..... Don't be afraid. I am mixing already my personal beliefs here, hope u don't mind, but this is the most true to heart words l can tell u!!!!Many blessings to youIsa Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de TelcelSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Mon, 6 Jun 2011 22:13:46 -0700To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Ibuprofen Substitute Brilliant! Guest guest
My dear Isa I feel your sincerity and gives me peace to hear your kind concern. I will watch his liver and support it so it can withstand the anti inflammatories. My son's daily dose is 200mg and in extreme cases 400. On it for 3 weeks. I will look into Milk thistle, boldo tea, castor oil packs, laser on the liver, apples (left to get brown, for 1/2 hr) some easy tricks to help his liver. I pray the rosary and have been offering my trials to the Lord and ask that He lighten my load. More importantly I ask that He guide me to the right path so I can help my son. It is all in God's hands. I thank you for being a true friend. God bless you too in your journey. Guest guest
Hi Fransel; I'm sorry I haven't been on the board much lately (as I am selling my house), so please forgive if this post is repetitive - Has your son's aggressive behaviour diminished with the daily motrin? And is it helping with severe sound sensitivity? Our daughter's aggression has cooled off somewhat but is still an ongoing issue. I hope things have gotten easier for you and your family! Guest guest
Hello Kim Good luck with your house. I know how stressful that is. My husband is in mortgage and real estate too. Motrin has been effective in reducing inflammation. I give him 200 mg before school. He usually is ok for 2 hrs. Other supports also help with brain inflammation made by Neuroscience - Calm PRT, Norlox, Travacor. Also NeuroFlam which has curcumins by Apex Energetics and AdrenaCalm for adrenal support. I am thinking of adding Holy Basil. I also have to find good multi vitamin so I can consolidate the many individual vitamins I am giving. The recommendation of doc is K PAX but I saw 1000mg in ascorbic acid. I am reducing Vit C dosage to only 250 mg because it converts to oxalates. My son's aggressive behaviors are down 60%. Thank God! Every day remains a challlenge and bracing myself for the road ahead when ABX are started. Doc even says things will get worse before they get better. Scary. One day at a time I guess. I am worried that school will not be able to handle his attacks. Acupuncture I think is also helping with drainage. Best to you, FranselFranselSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Tue, 07 Jun 2011 18:26:43 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Ibuprofen Substitute Hi Fransel;I'm sorry I haven't been on the board much lately (as I am selling my house), so please forgive if this post is repetitive - Has your son's aggressive behaviour diminished with the daily motrin? Guest guest
Thanks for the kind words Fransel Yes the whole house selling process has been very stressful for the whole family. Once we are settled into our new home (with extensive " autism modifications " ) we are hoping our eldest will calm down more. Thanks for mentioning the additional supps that help with brain inflammation. We are actually using Travacor for all the kids right now. So happy to hear his behaviours have decreased by more than half! That is fantastic. Hopefully the ABX will only further calm his behaviours - we'll hope for the best Are you doing laser acupuncture or traditional? Guest guest
Kim, We have had only one session on acupuncture (traditional). We may be looking at laser too. Do you have experience? What kind of laser? We are seeing doc on Saturday. Are you doing ABX? Do our children go wild with ABX use or do they calm down because they get better? The reason why we are doing all these supports right now is so that there won’t be too much herxing when ABX starts. I wish there was a way to avoid ABX but most docs say we MUST to antibiotics for lyme and its co-infections. For right now, the brain inflammation seems to be the biggest worry. He is calming down though. We still have some aggressive behaviors this week – my son likes to make himself fall down, jumped from trampoline to bushes 3x, throw books off shelves, swipe the food off the dining table, squeeze his teacher hard, or hit the nanny on the chest. I think all the videos and movies of late have instigated these “crash” behaviors. I getting more serious with the Low Oxalate Diet in addition to GF-CF-SCD-Low Amylose diets. Still researching other supplements to help with inflammation and other issues. Good luck. I know you are very busy. God bless. Guest guest
Sorry again for late reply Fransel. I attempted to treat my eldest with laser acupuncture but she was way to frantic for the therapist. We weren't able to get any treatment. I know some parents have had success with acupuncture for various issues... trouble is your child has to be a willing participant We have tried various ABXs in the past. Sometimes behaviour calms after herxing, sometimes behaviour worsens... Yes difficult to tell how your child will react until you try it. Yes, lyme must be treated aggressively. I know some people choose to treat solely with herbals though. I'm glad to hear he is calming further... yes, we get a lot of " crashing " behaviour as well. Very destructive and violent outbursts but they don't last as long as they used to. Baby steps. Sorry if we've discussed this before - have you tried Neuroprotek? I think this is the next supp we may try for inflammation. Good luck with further diet modification. Hopefully those will help to further calm his immune system. Sometimes I wish I could put my eldest on an IV until her gut heals! All food seems to be the enemy at this point. Blessings to you too Fransel. Things can only get better for our kids Kim > > > > > > My dear Isa > > > I feel your sincerity and gives me peace to hear your kind concern.
