Guest guest
I think most kids have the urge to bite, but they learn not to. With developmental delays, of course, our children are much more difficult to teach. I think that children with autism are stuck developmentally, not growing out of the behaviors seen in toddlers. I think biting is associated with frustration. We used to call it the " terrible twos, " but some children with autism seem to be stuck with the " terrible twos " behaviors, even though they are much older. In my kids, it appeared to be anger and lack of empathy. Treatments in general to make them more healthy, will help them develop the concentration it takes to learn to control their anger and have more empathy for others. I would say that reducing toxins is probably key in the long-term. In the short-term, natural anti-inflammatories, nutrition, and anti-oxidants are likely to help. But, keep in mind that treatments for pathogens are linked to reducing toxins and inflammation. Therefore, it's a combined approach. Reportedly, being very strong is also related to toxins, like mercury. I have also heard it can make people weak, so I guess it can go either way. I hope that chelation helps with this. I am concerned about chelation if not also given with natural anti-inflammatories or things to thin the blood or blood vessel dilators. The reason being is that there is talk that the blood flow through the neck is hindered, and this makes toxins back up in the head. So, if you run into problems, check into modifying the chelation via accounting for good blood flow. Talk with your doc about all this, and he/she will probably have some good ideas for you. Love and prayers, Heidi N Hi All My son is very strong physically. He will be 4 in 2 months. Sometimes I cannot handle him. He bites occasionally and it pains very badly. He has sharp teeth.
