Guest guest
**************Annette writes**************** I remember to this day how the elementary school I attended smelled. Every once in a while, my mind will play back that memory of a much simpiler time. (I went back to that school this summer. The parrallel bars I used to play on are still there. My daughter asked " What are these for? " ...and I showed her :-) I showed her what room I had classes in. I found that they STILL have the same fold out tables in the cafeteria!) Annette, I think I have one better than that!: My father grew up in a small town in Ohio (Manchester). He left his Jr year of High School to move to a small town in Central Ca - Paso Robles - where I was born and raised (still here as a matter of fact!)..............Anyway - dad went back to his old High School, (which is now an Elementary School) and was walking around the campus. A teacher came up and started talking to him, my dad told him he used to go to school here. The teacher asked what year and he said " 1943 " -he said " you want to see your grades? " My dad was *so* shocked that they still had the records (not on computer either mind you, all handwritten) after almost 60 years! Well, I guess if you count his elementary school records it was over 60 years. Of course, he didn't bring any copies of his grades home for us kids to look at :-) Lori Paso Robles PD Paso Robles, CA
