Guest guest
Rita, I have been using the surfactant found at Immusist.com in a nasal spray, 2 drops to about 1/8 C of water. It seems to prevent/treat ear infections and congestion. I can't use it too often, because I've tried it myself and it makes things too dry. Have you heard of it being used this way before? Does it sound safe to you? Bethany
Guest guest
Bethany, I have heard of it.... & yes the surfactant has been reported to dry things...add a tad bit of natural oil to keep things moist, especially when used on any form of dry skin...my favorite for the nose is Uncle Harry's Natural Products - All Natural Breathing Mix....I'm sure Young Living would also have a good alternative as well. Ingredient list of Uncle Harry's Breathing Mix, Eucalyptus, pine, lavender, niaoli, thyme, oregano, cinnamon, clove & geranium oils. Our ALL TIME favorite is Nasosympatico by Wise Woman Herbals which one of our docs introduced us to...she admisistered it to right in the office dabbed onto a long medical q-tip directly into the sinus. Ingredient list is Essencial oils of eucalyptus, peppermint, thyme & lavender in a base of almond oil. When using the surfactant on the skin I always follow w/a good essential oil like almond, calendula and/or aloe to keep it moist. Guest guest
Thanks, Rita.
