Guest guest
HiFrom what l have learned, it seems to be going on ABX for lyme before trying herbals, can make the bugs more resistant than we imagine. I understand lyme treatments work best when people start on herbals first (to weaken the pathogens) and then after a while, move to ABX. I think you might have created a resistance if the symptoms come back when u leave the drug.... And lyme certainly hibernates while the active ingredient is circulating. So, why not try with something else like Nutramedix herbs against lyme? Quintessence is an excellent product, but l have used it and felt it was strong. I know it is highly energized medicine and perhaps it is too inner-environment changing to begin with. Like with every other approach, start with the mildest things and slowly move up to the strongest ones. Also, maybe your body is not ready or supported enough to cope with the toxicity of pathogens dying... While abx is supposed to kill them, like you so well said, perhaps it is just sending them the message to protect themselves into cyst form. Hi everyone,I read this list alot, but rarely post. I was wondering if anyone would have an answer to this one. My sons and I both have lyme. I've had it for a long time and was really sick with it in my heart when it first started, but have all the usual joint, headache, fatigue, etc. When I go on doxycyline, I feel better so fast, within a few days, I can be on it for several months and once I go off, symptoms slowly get worse. Whenever I try any of the herbal treatments, esp the Klinghart Quintesence, I feel horrible, all symptoms get so much worse, like a very bad herx, but I never get thru it. I always feel like if I could stick with it, I might break thru, but feeling so lousy and taking care of my son who has autism, lyme, seizures, etc. I usually stop it and get discouraged. I am just wondering, anyone have any idea why? Are the antibiotics better at providing anti inflammatory effects, or are they just driving it into cyst form, but the herbs really go after it more??My son is the same way, feels better on antibiotics, but when I try herbs I get increased seizures and laying on the couch with headache and severe light and noise sensitivity. He is nonverbal so he can't provide info. Any advice? thanks, Val
Guest guest
In addition to the Lyme hibernating, which it has been shown to do in laboratories upon the presence of antibiotics, I also wonder if the Quintescence is treating something that the doxycycline is not. Each antibiotic kills a certain group of pathogens, and each herb has it's own unique actings as well. As much as Lyme is known to release neurotoxins when killed, causing an increase in symptoms, it appears that when treating other pathogens, Bartonella, mycoplasma, viruses, there also can be an increase in symptoms. I don't see postings on the forums of die-off stories from worms or protozoa though, just relief. Also, some docs like to rotate treatments for Lyme. The theory is that Lyme will come out when a treatment is stopped, so the next treatment has a shot at killing it before it hibernates again.
