OT: Countries banning YouTubes - Educate me please

A member here from Ireland says she can not watch some YouTube videos, getting

the message " this was banned by your country " . I didn't know that countries

were banning certain spots on the Internet. What do you all know about this? I

am just trying to learn as to what access other countries have or don't have to

the Internet. I thought that if you have Internet access, you have access to

all websites, unless of course, you're at work and your work is only allowing

limited access.
