Guest guest
Val, I am not an expert in parasites, but just wanted to tell you that my son was considered non-responder to any biomedical/homeopathic/herbal and Chinese medicine in the past until the point in which for first time last year we seriously addressed his parasites issue. Up to this point we tried homeopathics and various highly recommended herbals to get rid of the parasites, but his symptoms were getting only worse. We did part of Dr. K's parasite protocol (we did the medicines only for 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks, we skipped the Alinia) and for first time we noticed positive changes which was huge for us. My son doesn't have seizures (at least we don't see any, but we have never done any testing) so I cannot comment on that, but I definitely think that parasites could be huge for your son if addressed correctly. Now we are about to start for 2 weeks only on prescription meds for parasites and then we will introduce the Mimosa pudica twice per week. I am very curious how the treatment with Mimosa pudica will go as I read that Dr. K said it is 30 times stronger than the prescription meds. I am almost wondering why we have to start first on the prescription meds if the Ayurvedic herb is so potent, can anybody tell me if you have already some experience with this herb? Krassi > > I was reading some of the posts and the latest Klinghardt conf stuff and realize that I probably should be going after parasites before anything else. Every full moon he is up for about 4 nights in a row with very little sleep, super hyper and unable to settle down. He also is a seizure kid and used to react to just one drop of black wall nut tincture with a seizure, so I stopped as it was so unsafe, but I'm thinking I won't make headway unless I do. Should I start with something gentler? diute down one drop and go up? I see major herx with it and I tried it on myself this past weekend and had the worst cardiac symtoms I have had in several months, the die off was trememdous. thanks, Val >
Guest guest
I have not had that experience with black walnut hull, nor have I seen that experience mentioned. I wonder if a different brand would give different results. I wonder if it's an allergy or something else. If this is the very beginning of your journey to recover your health, than it could be that you are very sensitive to treatments in general. I am presuming you started with a low dose. At my house, everything has to be started with a low dose at first. Guest guest
Hi Krassi, thanks for the reply, I wonder about the mimosa also, for my son, I would imagine and for alot of the kids, it will be way to powerful a herx and you'd have to start really tiny dosing and work up? Maybe that's why he rec it in the order he states as if you just went after parasites with that initially, it would be a mess herx wise. Guest guest
Val, This is very good point, I don't know why I didn't think of that, now reading your message makes sense why Dr. K recommended first to start with the prescription meds. I am trying Mimosa pudica now on myself (although I haven't tested myself for parasites, so not sure if I have at all) and I want to see how I feel and tolerate before I start it on my son. I will let the group know how this herb works, if nobody else has tried it yet. Guest guest
This may seem nutty but I put a dropper of ia 100 in my sons bath water for weeks before he ever took it orally. Sort of as low and slow as you can get... Sent from my iPhone
Guest guest
I have read that some parasites release the seizure-causing toxins only as they die. My kid has seizures too...it seems like anything that improves eye contact and interaction will also cause seizures. We have, after using various seizure drugs and stopping things that were helping symptoms, decided for the time being to allow the seizures to happen. So far there has been an increase in seizure activity followed by a decrease. Guest guest
I am wondering too, if I need to just go low and slow and push past, maybe on the other side of killing off parasites, seizures would diminish. He has seizures that have been ineffective with meds and in May he had the VNS surgery and things are slowing getting better seizure wise. It's just so scary when you know you're giving something that will induce yet another, even tho you know you've got bugs that have to be killed. I would love to read about parasites and sieizure inducing toxins, I'm sure it's true, just based on what I see here. Maybe what I need to do is really mop up with chlorella or whatever binder is best right after dosing with black walnut. I now give it a few hours after his depakote, so I know that's when plasma levels of that will be the highest. Any suggestions from all as to what the best supplement for binding up neurotoxins is appreciated. I looked up the one from seaweed from Japan, but with the nuclear disaster over there, I wonder if this product is farm raised or coming from their ocean? thanks to all for reading, I appreciate all the great info on this list, Val > > > > I was reading some of the posts and the latest Klinghardt conf stuff and realize that I probably should be going after parasites before anything else. Guest guest
I had read tha black walnut hulls are not recommended for children... it is also I think high in phenols and oxylates... > > I was reading some of the posts and the latest Klinghardt conf stuff and realize that I probably should be going after parasites before anything else. Guest guest
I've also heard to be cautious with children & black walnut hulls. has ART tested very well w/ia & we used w/our docs blessings...we had good results with it. I noticed in 's notes from the recent conference that DrK is leaning away from Dr s formula...but I still believe this is very personal.... & I'd use it again if our doc told us to. fyi....we are finding the surfactants we are using are also helpful on the parasite end of things.... On another note...I do not deal w/seizures so I'm far from an expert, but what comes to mind was our herbalist/acupuncurists commented to me at one time that many seizures were triggered from lack of oxygen to the brain....just wondering, has anyone tried oxygenated water or other oxygen enriching treatments & has this helped reduce the seizures in any way????? Just wondering off the top of my head weather these detox reactions could be somehow clogging up the oxygen level...maybe even thickening the blood going to the brain....just thoughts....
