Since iodine deficiency is correlated to this type of thyroid problem, see if

they will test for that. If they do a biopsy, see if you can convince them to

test it for pathogens, like Lyme and Bartonella and whatever they are willing to

do. I have read reports that these and other pathogens are the cause of such

problems, but that usually docs just treat the symptoms. Toxins, like bromide

and fluoride are a problem as well, and I think I remember reading that they

decease the ability of the thyroid to absorb the small amount of iodine we do

get via food. Since thyroid hormone can be easily supplemented, docs are quick

to remove it. Get second and third opinions if you are not happy with whatever

the docs are recommending. I wonder if a Zyto could give some helpful

information. Thyroid problems are actually common, and easy to treat compared

to problems in other organs. Of course, it's still scary. In times like these,

I pray.
