Yes, this does mean something. Actually, if you Google it, you should find it.

I can't remember what it is right now, but there is a direct reason that one

develops " chicken skin " . It's either a pathogen or deficiency.

Love and prayers,

I can't really tell you what it is, but I have that and it is clearing up on

mimosa pudica. So I guess it is from some sort of parasite.

Isa,

My 11 years old had that sort of skin on his upper arms and his doctor said it

was lack of fatty acids or malabsortion of fatty acid.

He recommended Cod Liver oil 2 teaspoon daily but it didn't work, but when I

decided to to go for Carlson's Finest fish oil(iherb) 2 teaspoon daily the skin

became so nice and smooth and much more moist than before and bumps went away.

I don't know why cod liver oil didn't help. He is doing much better on this oil

..

yeah my son has this too, dr krigsman called it keritosis pilaris (sp?). gets

better when i massage him with coconut butter. Cod liver oil hasnt helped him

either, been reading about the mary megson cod liver oil and bethanacol

treatment, wonder if that would help. carnatine is suppose to help with the

metabolizm of EFA's also, but havent seen that yet.

Thank you girls and to all who have responded. Fat absorption indeed needs to

be an issue for him... Methylation perhaps? Seems like he can't convert the

things to use them properly. Coconut oil is indeed a big thing, we use it

frequently and l love it, softens his skin but doesn't rid the problem.

Blessings

I used to have this on arms and legs and better since more oils but also

carnitine.. so wonder if the carnitine is helping. My son has this very badly..

going to try carnitine and may try the fish oil as well. We have taken so many

oils..
