questions re: valtrex and diflucan

Hello- Im hoping to get some input from those of you that have tried the above meds. My son is sup to start on them this weekend and only the valtrex is in so Im hoping it is ok to start that one alone and then add the diflucan when it comes in on Monday. Ive heard that you usually take the valtrex for a longer period of time so I imagine it is alright to do this but I cant check in with our LLND to be sure since it is the weekend. They are allowing him to take these along with ketotifen which he has been taking for nearly a yr and Im wondering if that could be a bit too much for his liver. Im also concerned about what to expect as he just started Junior High and has all regular classes so I want to be sure there wont be any major reactions or side effects. I should have spent more time questioning our LLND but didnt have a chance.

If anyone can tell me their child's experience with these medicines I would really appreciate it. Also, should I have liver and kidney funchtion checked every couple of wks. My son has sensory integration issues but not autism; however, now that we have uncovered some virus' etc, the LLND says his "immune system is starting to act autistic." He has been falling asleep a lot during the day suddenly out of the blue for mos (since completing the 6 wk parasite protocol and seems to have developed an imbalance between his thyriod and adrenals.
