Late afternoon here some strange sharp trails at an exactly perpendicular angle; the jet was clearly illuminated by the western sunlight. Yes, I took some pictures one day, two hours later, the cloud streams were still there.

Here they're doing them in the morning, they blow away and do it again mid-day and when they blow away, the do it again in the late afternoon. Each time it is a different pattern, but you can watch the planes make the trails and then see them disperse into these unusual looking "clouds". The volume has just seemed to increased here and I'm wondering if others have been seeing the same or it is just on the west coast. They were even doing it this morning, ahead of the storm coming in.
