Guest guest
I have seen posts that kids grew when supplementing l-carnitine. It's not all that unusual to stop growing at 17. It's the norm in my family. But being thin as well as hair loss doesn't happen as much. I have heard early hair loss being blamed on genetics, but I bet there is something they can supplement to combat it. Low thyroid causes hair loss. I would look into zinc, biotin, thyroid, and maybe do an amino acid panel. Keep in mind that not all docs know how to interpret the results correctly. For instance, sometimes and excess of a vitamin in the blood is because the vitamin is not being absorbed across the blood brain barrier into the brain region or spinal cord region. But a lot of docs will think the person has too much of the vitamin, not knowing about the blood brain barrier issue. Some of the autism docs mentioned that they are finding that receptors have been damaged from immune dysfunction rendering them unable to facilitate the nutrients to cross from the blood into the spinal fluid. Definitely look into your digestion area, since that has always done wonders for my family. And keep in mind that most with autism reportedly have too little fats in general. There is no way to tell what is causing your son's specific hair loss without doing trial and error and testing since there are so many causes. Love and prayers, Heidi N > > Hi all, > I am sorry to ask this but you friends on this list are the most knowledgeable people I have met. Guest guest
The Tennant Biomodulator may be worth looking at. It can stimulate the body to balance cellular and who knows what other bioenergetic systems and hormones, it seems, with the appropriate practitioner directing, and is affordable and noninvasive. SEE WEB ARTICLE GIVING HISTORY OF THIS TECHNOLOGY: www.pnf.org/SCENAR_Article_Expanded_Revised_2_.pdf There are 41 pages comparing a few models. Good luck; the body can heal itself and is designed to, given the appropriate ongoing supports to outrun, outsmart, outsurvive environmental stressors. Might be practical to just buy one, get the training, and have it on hand for whatever. It is not supposed to be used by more than one person or critter since the energetics could get mixed. Anyone else with experience with this want to check in? Think I have seen it mentioned in these posts dozens of times. To: "Borreliamultipleinfectionsandautism " <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >Sent: Wed, October 5, 2011 6:47:51 PMSubject: Very OT: my 17 yo has stopped growing, how can I help? Guest guest
My son is only 5 but he has had growth problems too. I think you need to support the thyroid and the adrenals and also use amino acid precursors to growth hormone. Burnt out adrenals can burn out the thyroid. Treating parasites have helped our adrenals as well. > > > ** > > > > > > The Tennant Biomodulator may be worth looking at.
