Guest guest Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 THe National Institute of Mental Health and Yale Child Study Center are recruiting children for a pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated wtih streptococcal infections (PANDAS) IVIG clinical treatment study. The study will look at whether children with PANDAS improve with IVIG treatment. Children 4-12 yrs with sudden repetitive or obsessive behaviors after a strep infection can participate. Some wil get IVIG and some will get placebo. After six weeks all families can choose IVIG treatment. All children in the study will have to take antibiotics to protect against future strep infections. Study is free contact or meg.smith@....
