Vc, forgive me for not taking the high road any longer, but I need to express this to you. Others may choose to not read this - it's from me to you - and I don't like to barge in on anyone's personal email unless invited.

I was very surprised and stung by this insensitive statement you made about me. Does it represent the compassion and validation for other people you say you have? I get how you were the "lone man standing" on one side of this pro/con discussion and comparison of The Work vs. ACT. That could make you feel ganged up on, whether you were or not, especially since you were unable to convince any of the participants of your point of view. And although the "back and forth" was lively and spirited, I never thought it was mean-spirited. Until now, with your latest message.

My growth since joining this list has been noted by others and, more importantly, by myself. That you don't see it that way is fine with me; I don't need your validation, although it would be nice. But if you are here to learn and help others, I think you may have lost your way, if your last message is any indication.

That's all I'll say. I feel as though I've lost a friend. It doesn't feed good, but I will let it go, now that I've expressed myself. There is certainly no need for me to suffer over this - you got that much right!

Peace,

Helena

CBT is useful for lots of people and yet is very different to ACT. And KB The Work helps lots of people too.
