Guest guest
Thanks Rick - I remember you writing to the list when you had this surgery. They tried to put a screw in my big toe, but the bone was too soft (two days before the surgery, I received the results on a Vit D blood test and it turned out I was very low which I'm sure contributed to the softness of the bone - taking Vit. D capsules). Right now, I have pins in four toes. The tendon release alone on the baby toe was enough to straighten it. When they took the cast off for the stitch removal I was amazed that although swollen and black/blue, my toes looked beautiful to me - I was very bummed when I was sent back to the cast room for a recasting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that when the pins come out next week that the toes will remain straight and some of the pain will be gone. I'm anxious to have the right foot done! If I asked this already, I apologize, but how much did it hurt if at all when the pins were removed? I am dreading this and my stomach flips when I think about it ... No results after 14 sessions :(I am looking into this as well as Botox > > > I did botox for my aductors and toes, it works for about 90 days. Just tendon release and transfer ( Procedure) on other toes, no pins. Rick
