Do you only take PO magnesium or do you also do mag sulphate soaks? Do you take calcium, if so how much and what type (as in carbonate, citrate etc..not brand) I think I asked already but have you been tested for fibromyalgia? >What type of leg pain, any back pain too? I think you said you had the same pain pre op, do they say if this pain is normal to have after surgery, I mean consistent with TC? I wonder if it is possible to have some low level infection from opening up the dura and if antibiotics or steroids would help if inflammation. Hope you get relief soon. So glad you don't have MS. > > > >> > >> > >> > >> >Subject: MRI results- help please >> >To: tetheredspinalcord >> >Date: Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 10:31 PM >> > >> > >> > >> > >> > >> > >> >I got my MRI results this afternoon and they are normal, pristine brain! >> > >> >I am planning on isolating what may be causing this. Guest guest
The oil is a great idea! Will ask my massage therapist to use it. I want to say they would formulate it at 400mg+ since they specialize in treatment that includes nutrition, they are a whole body type of place. I will double check though >I am glad you do both. I am not sure how much is in your supplement. There are huge discrepencies in what the FDA recommends and what naturopaths and people that specialize in nutritional healing recommend. I think the FDA is around 300 and most naturapaths are in the 500-1000mg range. I take 500mg and more when I am having problems with spasms or if my bowels arent moving. It can take months to get your levels up but if you do and wind up taking too much it will make your bowels loose and you will know to cut back a bit. There are magnesium oils on the market to use with massage as well. With the skin being the largest organ, topicals and soaks are a great way to help get those levels up. Magnesium is what is used to stop premature contractions...it is a wonderful muscle relaxant if taken in adequate amounts. > > > > > >Subject: RE: Magnesium >To: tetheredspinalcord >Date: Thursday, March 10, 2011, 9:02 AM > > > > > > >I do the soaks, as well as take a mag/calcium mix pill, it's in a non labeled box (label came with it)The pills come from a friend who works at a cancer hospital and are apparently tested for purity and absorption. I also take a multivitamin from there, as do both my parents.I used to work there so I feel the product is great, I remember my mom started taking it and felt amazing. Only problem is the amazing is gone for me! >I am switching up my work desk too, have someone coming in and giving me a pretty expensive demo chair (boss said would purchase). To see if that could be a part of the issue. All I know it started last year, and got pretty intense in September. After surgery, when I was on 40mg of Valium every 6 hours I was fine. Unfortunately I took 5mg for muscle spasms and passed out cold a few weeks ago! Lost my tolerance I guess? >All I have to say is RIDICULOUS!!! > > > > >> >------------------------------------ > >NOT MEDICAL ADVICE.
