Shaw, Ph.D., and The Great Plains Laboratory, Inc. sponsor "IgG Food Sensitivity" presented by Dr. Cavaiola on October 19, 2011.

Are the foods you are eating actually making you sick? It is estimated that close to 90% of the American population has what is known as “delayed-onset food sensitivities.†In this informative webinar, Dr. Cavaiola will discuss the relationship between food sensitivities and the role that they play in the development of inflammation and acute and chronic illness in children and adults. Inflammation is an immune-mediated process, and in this webinar Dr. Cavaiola will give details about the origins of the immune system and explain how the gastrointestinal integrity, microecology and lymphatic tissue are involved in the pathogenesis of food related illnesses. An explanation of the most reliable methods to test for food sensitivities will be given along with details about how gluten, dairy and the opportunistic yeast, Candida albicans,

specifically, are involved in disease development. Finally, a few interesting real-life case studies will be provided that will demonstrate food sensitivity testing in action.
