Guest guest
>I will usually get a cad call containing location/name/phone #/call type/list of items taken/point of entry/value/desc of veh including lic #. I agree. It's redundant.... your call taker is obtaining all this information, then you're dispatching an officer to obtain EXACTLY the same information... (by the way, you're not dispatching the information the call taker obtains, so it's really useless). Doesn't make a lot of sense. Sounds like a supervisor problem. I've seen the problem before, the dispatcher trying to do " too much " and actually slowing down the operation, and making everyone else's job more difficult. It happens a lot in small departments... the officer is sent, doesn't get all the information he/she needs, and calls dispatch back asking " did you get this " or " did you get that " ? The dispatchers end up filling out the officers report. That's a supervisor problem on the dispatch and enforcement side. Weintraut
