Abstract: The most important & basic rhythm in the brain which helps the brain to engage and build brain connectivity is the Thalamo-cortical network. This can be identified by recording from the EEG on the sensory-motor cortex. The frequency of this basic learning rhythm is 12-15 Hz. It matures in the brain at the age of 3 months. It serves as a bio-marker of a normal or differently enabled brain. It helps the brain to engage with the world and thereby improve, increase and adapt to the ever-changing external environment. As already mentioned, almost all procedures to improve and enhance brain function, startswith a QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram). QEEG is more often than not recorded in 4different states of conscious experience - 1) Eyes Closed, 2) Eyes Open, 3) Reading/ListeningComprehension & 4) Maths. when artifact is removed from the QEEG and analyzed through an appropriate software program, it becomes possible to look at Motor cortex ( & Brodmann areas associated with the Motor Cortex) and see the quality and quantity associated with this rhythm - either at rest, under neutral conditions of almost no cognitive load or when engaging with the external world and/or under conditions of excessive cognitive stress. If the sensory-motor-cortex is producing more "SLOW OR FAST WAVES ," The 45 minute webinar would deal with how the brain can be made more stable, thus helping the brain to get more sensory information for better decision-making.
